I know there will be people will forever argue against this, but all recent stats suggest warlocks are doing abysmal in PvP. That usage rates have dropped, they are the least used by a landslide now.
Yet bungies recent twab was mostly related to PVE for warlocks. They are so out of touch its insane.
Bungie, read some of your statistics, read the feedback from warlocks and do something about it!
Dawnblade wasn't even addressed in the twab and it was most warlocks biggest concern.
Solar warlock is the most used class in trials for locks but its for well, because its our only solar option. Phoenix dive is rubbish, especially the cool down and having to swap it for rift. The super is disgusting in terms of damage, heat rises is theory good, but the skill required to be good with it is way too high for the average player, you become a target in the air and on top of that the air effectiveness update made it 100x worse. Dawnblade should have perfect in air accuracy. You say you want dawnblade to be great in the sky but you make it near impossible.
Yes some of the updates were needed and I appreciated the vortex nova change. But so disappointed that you straight up ignored dawnblade.

Oh please! Everyone is always complaining about pvp without considering the fact any pvp nerfs always affect the pve aspect either fully or some extent hence why d2 pvp will never be as big a deal as yall want it to be. This isnt bungies halo 3 days were balancing was never needed but with new space magic and broken weapons that are great for pve yall complain and ruin it for the rest of us who dont do pvp.

They have to be aware of how bad the stats are for Warlocks. It’s not a new thing and has progressively gotten worse. Tuning passes and revamped exotics are going to help but inevitably they have to make the Warlock identity a viable, competitive reality. Maybe Strand will be their time to shine. I really hope they put a better effort in when they designed the new subclass with Warlocks in mind.

1 返信Those numbers are more due to it being Zone Control Trials. Titan has always been the strongest for Zone Control and will usually be the top class for it. Arc Titan has tracking Storm Grenades to force people away from the zone and Void Titan has some of the fastest movement with overshields so they can take control of the zone fast. Void Hunter is currently the strongest pick in a 1 life gamemode with Khepris or Gyrfalcons paired with Linear Fusion Rifles. The best thing in a game mode like Trials is getting the first pick or getting the first shots in a gunfight which invisibility makes easier. Unless invisibility gets changed Void Hunter will always be a strong pick. The other Hunter subclasses are pretty balanced, but watch out for Stasis Hunter after the buffs that were in the TWAB. Warlock currently doesn't have a subclass thats overtuned. Stasis is strong and certain builds of it will be buffed from the changes in the TWAB, but it really only shines in an aggressive meta which we are not in. Stormcaller has Lightning Surge which some people would say is overtuned, but in a mode like Trials it might get you a trade most rounds or with some luck 2 kills. It comes at the disadvantage of having a slow super and needing to slide into the enemies. Well is good, but compared to Void Titan on a Zone Control week its just a weaker pick. Once the other two classes have their outliers reined in Warlock should see an uptick in use.

1 返信Kiro - 13により編集済み: 11/6/2022 4:52:30 AMYour data is flawed, this is a % of the population not a value. Hunters have the highest representation, followed by titans, and warlocks third. An example: Warlocks TTD during "Beyond Light" had the lowest player representation but the highest win rate. It even eclipsed/dominated stasis before any nerfs were introduced & we all know how strong stasis was on at launch. This information was provided to us by bungie to explain why a number of sweeping nerfs were implemented for TTD. The main argument that warlocks leaned into for the state of TTD in PvP being so oppressive for well over an entire year was "a very high skill ceiling" often backed up with "how often you see your avg player master movment like ZKmushroom or wallah". Yet only 10 or 11% played TTD back then. This is very close to the current state of warlocks, as they are performing just fine but they have a very high skill curve so in lower to mid skill brackets the class feels helpless but at the high end its very strong.

1 返信Besides the occasional Well of Radiance, we’re not doing much better in PvE. Oh and, try to ignore the trolls telling you that you’re wrong or that (insert nonsense here) is “broken” for Warlocks. What you said is simply a fact.

15 通の返信Yes they do understand statistics. They ALWAYS do their nerfs due to statistics. THAT exactly is the issue here. You can't just look at a number and judge how powerful said thing is. Most of their dumb nerfs wer just because of high usage numbers. That means the weapon/class was either really fun to use or it's more powerful than others. In most cases it's just fun to use or other options are just terrible. Instead of analysing that, they simply go by "oh high usage = broken = nerf. They could also just look at the whole picture and bring up lower tier weapons/classes instead of nerfing the only fun options into the ground. That's usually what happens tho when low effort devs just look at numbers.

And how did he get those figures... a estimate. Third party sources which players log into which is only a percentage of the game population. Only Bungie knows the true numbers and they rarely publish them.

17 通の返信Yes, they do. And warlocks have always been under-represented in Trials. 1. The vast majority of high-level pvp players have always been either Hunters amor Titans. 2. Hunters were basically designed for pvp. It’s even reflected in the games lore. 3. Warlocks get most of their power from their abilities, and pvp players in this game complain bitterly when they die to the abilities of OTHER classes. So whenever Warlocks become viable at a high level, the calls for nerfs are immediate, and Bungie responds quickly. 4. Bungie efforts to “emphasis on gunplay” means that Warlocks will always have the pvp sandbox tuned and tipped against them. That’s always been the case in D2, and I doubt it will ever change.

12 通の返信Epocにより編集済み: 11/5/2022 2:23:57 AMDidn't you know? Warlock using resto+healing rift is the most oppressive build! Warlock is the only class that can easily get resto x2. It's OP! Out of the top 10% winning teams in trials, 4.96% are solar Warlocks. It's getting out of hand. Them dirty Warlocks. 33.29% are invis spamming hunters. 25.56% are overshield spamming titans. They need to get those number up, best way to do that is reduce the 4.96% that are rocking solar Warlock, which likely none are using healing rift + resto. Still it's oppressive! Better nerf that ASAP! Top complaint in the community that one. Don't you read the TWAB's? GAH! Here's looking at you Ophidians aspect o.o (Icarus dash look out!) p.s. I don't think they will be happy until all Warlock classes are under the 3% mark on winning teams. Arc Warlock is 2.89%. Hopefully it doesn't break passed 3%

Dredgen Araphelにより編集済み: 11/5/2022 8:57:44 PMWarlocks are a minority so even with ample buffs these numbers wouldn't see a significant rise. Bungie constantly shoving dawnblade and then crappy nerfs made me stop playing it. Titans and hunters don't rely on abilities so they are just better picks then the class that does but the community constantly gets abilities nerfed which is why the class struggles being the only one that needs them to do anything.

13 通の返信I am so sick of people using trials of all gamemodes as a "good" example of player statistics. If you want to make arguments based on usage A. don't use the mode currently at its lowest population since it was revamped and B. don't use statistics that cut out everyone inbetween .8 KD and 2.0 KD which is a pretty big margin.

7 通の返信Preference my friend. A lot of people don’t like warlock jump. My main gripe with warlock and why I hardly use it. I like Titan and hunter movement and ability’s although warlock have quite a few tricks up there sleeves.
