Dawnblade is cracked in PvP. Well of Radiance is more relevant than ever in PvE, following Weapons of Light nerf on Void Titan. Arc charged melee is busted in PvP. Shadebinder is by far the best Stasis option of the three.
It ain't that bad!

Ferus Luxにより編集済み: 11/1/2022 6:01:52 AMDawnblade is not cracked in PvP. It's so basic and one trick and Daybreak is the worst roaming super in the game against players who know how to keep turning corners and running. Kinda sad how a support super is stronger than Daybreak.

Behemoths can actually chase someone indoors so I disagree. I'd say Spectral is tied with Dawnblade but only because it was nerfed. It used to be top tier. Daybreak itself was never top tier. People just enjoying lying and jumping on the "Dawnblade is op Ermah gerd!" band wagon to take the attention away from the broken subclasses they crutch.

Dawnblade was pretty OP back in the day. I remember when Stasis was first released with Beyond Light and how oppressive that was, yet Dawnblade was able to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Stasis in the meta. Bungie even confirmed it at one point, showing it was the most played subclass (albeit this was after Shadebinder got nerfed). Now it is a shadow of its former self but that doesn't mean it's bad. Just because the ranged melee doesn't have insane range and damage and the Super doesn't mean wiping out the entire enemy team for free anymore, doesn't mean it's not any good. It still has a good charged melee, amazing Restoration grenades and IMO, an underrated Super.

I wish people would stop lying about dawnblade being good in PvP. It’s not. Garbage tracking if they’re not a mile away, the worst hit detection of any ranged super, slow movement without Icarus dash, extremely low duration. It’s just a worse version of Hammer of Sol.
-
The Dawnblade subclass is good. Restoration x2 healing grenades, nutty ranged melee for cleaning up low-health Guardians, nuttier movement and a decent Super (not even close to being the worst roaming Super in the game).

I really wish that this app had bullet points when typing out comments because it would make this much easier. - you only get 2x restoration from a healing nade by using an aspect slot, which locks you out of using Heat Rises, which is admittedly a pretty bad aspect anyway. It could also be argued that the old healing grenade was better for both balance and gameplay being a class-locked full heal at the cost of your grenade and a charge up animation. -celestial fire got yet another nerf in the 3.0 update by reducing the damage again. Now it doesn’t even deal a full 100 damage. Celestial fire still overrides default melee at point blank despite dealing only 90 damage. This can be ignored on PC with key binds for default and powered melee, but this isn’t viable on controller with limited buttons. - movement is good, but only with Icarus dash. Phoenix dive is not viable due to its move to the class ability slot and reduced healing capability. Heat rises costs your grenade but refunds the melee and also marks you on enemy radar when in PvP. It also no longer gives full airborne accuracy and only provides 70AE instead. - You’re right, dawnblade isn’t the worst roaming super. That goes to either Fist of Havoc or Nova Warp. Although these two are the bottom of the barrel, that doesn’t mean that dawnblade is not also bad. Dawnblade has a pathetically low duration, uses up duration when using Icarus dodge, has pathetic tracking when targets are within 20-30 meters, has abhorrent hit registration, and performs pitifully against other supers. I don’t like writing essays on here but I hate Solar 3.0 more.

Rockefellerにより編集済み: 11/3/2022 9:15:44 PMActually, everything I specified is even worse in PvE. The ability to transform a grenade into a healing nade was way more versatile for tight high end PvP. Heat rises is almost useless in PvE because hanging in the air will get you nailed by the AI. Icarus dash isn’t necessary for PvE in the slightest, it just helps with speedruns. Celestial is performs a bit better in PvE but lacks any of the versatility that the Snap gives you. -The recent twab actually acknowledged the damage issue with celestial. Hooray, we finally got a buff. Dawnblade in PvE is laughably bad, almost as bad as fist of havoc. All of the PvP issues I had are still present, except for the bad tracking. Even Dawn Chorus can’t save this super from being useless.
also benevolent dawn nerf just to spite warlocks lmao
1. Not everything needs to be GM viable. 2. Hanging in the air while granting infinite ability loops with “insert exotics” and Phoenix dive is extremely useful. And considering not all content is GM you don’t die instantly. Celestial fire is a PvP oriented melee to begin with. (Which is getting buffed) Only viable thing is DB also being bad in PvE, nothing else transfer with a well crafted build for PvE.

Cervantesにより編集済み: 11/1/2022 3:26:15 PMThere's more to the Super being bad in Behemoth Titan. The charged melee is also horrible, as is the sliding (which has been nerfed to the ground). Plus, the Stasis Exotics for Titan are nowhere near as good as Warlock's Osmiomancy gloves and Hunter's Bakris or Renewal Grasps.
