Titan main by trade (80%+ of my playtime in D2 is Titan).
Jumped on my Warlock this morning to try out the arc 3.0 stuff. Melee aspect is cool and fun to use. Neutral game is ok… a little hard to synergize with limited equipment (I just don’t have a lot of Warlock gear)… but…
The super damage is dog water bad. Just so bad I started laughing at the ridiculousness of it.
Bungie please look at this. It’s laughable that the ‘mage’ class has ultimate attacks that are this underwhelming.
**Edit - the best comment I’ve read is that Warlock supers don’t feel “super” right now which I think is a great way to put it.**

Interpol89により編集済み: 10/30/2022 3:14:44 PMThe super tiers also need to be reworked. What’s the point of having slow charging supers, if they are underwhelming? Most of the time, I get more damage/ ad clear from my weapons and regular abilities.

As a warlock main, apart from Well of Radiance and Stasis turrets, Bungie could just scrap the rest of their subclasses and nobody would notice anything. They've butchered warlocks HARD. Their "damage oriented" supers are absolutely trash.

10 通の返信This honestly needs to gain more traction, the Arc supers are dreadful... i mean, i ran a few GM's earlier and I felt like the only reason I was using Chaos reach was to kill throwaway adds. Chaos Reach needs a re-work... DESPERATELY.

19 通の返信I'm a Warlock main. This is normal. We suck. If we get something nice it's nerfed, removed, or given to hunters or titans. This is the way.

13 通の返信Warlocks got screwed in Solar 3.0 and Arc 3.0 does basically nothing to improve it. Even when used with the Arc mods and Charge buffs, Arc Tickle Fingers fail to impress, especially compared to what Hunters got (Arc throwing Spear thing). And Chaos Reach does so little damage and leaves you up there like a stuck Skeet for everything to light you up.

6 通の返信Today makes 2 weeks without me playing destiny. Im honestly thinking of uninstalling at this point. I honestly don’t see what it is that I saw in this game. Cod and overwatch 2 are just way more fun right now.

3 通の返信DavoDestructorにより編集済み: 10/29/2022 9:00:14 PMAs a Lock main, I can say there are some very good arc builds, but they’re all built around ability regen being super quick. The supers though, maaaaan, they suck. One is a decent red bar clearer, and that’s it, it doesn’t work in higher level content (I’m talking legend or above) on anything other than red bars, and Chaos Reach…..well, without Geomags it’s like tickling anything above a red bar with a feather duster. With, it hits harder, but takes about 3 weeks to do it.

You know it's bad when an extended storm trance feels better than chaos reach. This is coming from a void walker main. All because 4 guys with geomags use to melt prime evils back when that actually felt like a super. Now chaos reach is a burst super for yellow bars and group ad clear. Sad that they built this great ad clear machine, but forgot we aren't using well in the dps phase. Don't get me wrong, warlocks can clear a room, but for arc that's all it feels like I CAN do.

warlocks have the worst supers id just give them new supers honestly... id give titans an iron banner style solar axe super and hunters D1 arc blade.. for warlocks a new arc glaive roaming super that can do what glaives can but its also a spear that can by thrown 3x really far this would replace kamehameha the glaive spear is meant for precision damage and gains damage based off of distance travelled void would get a knife subclass thats hunter inspired but slower but with more hacks like a poison throwing knife and the super would be inspired by the 4th hokage from naruto a 3 throwing knifes that you teleport to this subclass would work really well with felwinters helm solar would have a "nano boost" style super so you can boost someone else or yourself if you aim it at the ground this boost increases all stats by 100 and maxes out reload and subtility for 30 seconds or grants 2x damage + 2x movement speed if the other player is in super so the idea is that your boosting someone elses super to be way stronger for 15 seconds

1 返信Choas Reach is really good with Geomags. When they removed sprinting to top it off they increased the amount of super energy you keep getting back while focusing on a target by SSOOO much. The problem is it makes the act of doing the super even longer. It takes so long for Geomags to run out that you actually would be better off using a Linear for that 30-45 seconds instead. Stormcaller should do more damage. It's a one shot anyways already in PVP so increasing the damage to make it more useful in PVE wouldn't hurt and if it did, the cooldown is so damn long for Crucible reasons already.

4 通の返信Mara Sovereignにより編集済み: 10/30/2022 9:56:18 PMMaybe for boss DPS w/o geomag and chaos, but for add-clearing it's the best, and coupled with mods and nades still my fav

My thought for a cool buff would be to add this to the Electrostatic Mind Aspect: “Casting your super while amplified causes it to jolt targets hit”. Would up the add clear to be more effective on both while allowing you to deal with some non-red bar enemies.

1 返信“Holy smokes [proceeds to not talk about solar]” Cmoooon man, you could have done “it’s shocking that [talks about arc]” that would have been 10 times better

I found Chaos reach easier to control on lower end pve and sometimes I’ll have the exotic Chaos exotic or will use another exotic to complement my arc playtime. Hunter main but I have had fun with Solar lock and healing- recently took a step into LFG on the Bungie site and for the most part had fun with legendary nightfalls. Stormcaller didn’t feel as fun but I haven’t put time in to optimize.

3 通の返信A friend of mine used Chaos reach in Devil's Lair GM yesterday and the rule is if you use it for damage, it sucks. So just use your brain and don't use it for damage; it clears out crowds really quickly, and that's better for it anyway because that produces orbs whereas damaging one target doesn't. It used to be good for damage back when it came out, but now it's not. Furthermore, it could be very dangerous to the highly competitive damage meta to buff it because its total damage is very good, and has the capacity to be double with geomag, not to mention. And in long-term damage phases or cases of very high-health bosses, it could go really quickly from being well-suited to these targets to being the only reasonable choice.

Ticklefingers has always been straight add clear since it was first introduced. With Crown of Tempests, its unmatched in that department. Without.... its pretty meh. Chaos Reach absolutely needs Geomags, but its more a "I have nothing else left" DPS option atm, used to be great to couple with Anarchy but could maybe do with a little more of something now I guess.

9 通の返信Ooh yes, it's insane how bad they are. When Hunters got a reworked supers both void and solar(kinda got some stuff added to them), I was expecting both solar titan to get a new one (non roaming one) and arc warlocks to get a reworked chaos reach, me and my friends discussed this and like make it a charged up super beam that deals all its DMG in like 2 seconds and geomags adds +1 sec and the DMG on it too. But noo, let's give hunters a spanking new super tho 🤣 also void titan is now the only subclass who haven't had a new super added to it since the start of D2 (banner shield is just something they added to the already in-game sentinel block, kinda like they added the twirl to arc staff, but twirl had more animation work)
