SMH they are referring to deep sight weapons in general, mainly non-craftable.
Anyone that has spent an hour or more in playlists usually end up with 5-7 red box weapons that aren't craftable.
The part that worries me is that, starting in LightFall, only red box weapons that ARE craftable will drop, meaning less crafting materials. With Bungie saying that materials will come from other sources, I hope they don't mean bounties...

Even if it’s like 10-20 per completion it would one, revitalize the playlists, and two have people who play a lot satisfied with materials. It would definitely feel a lot better than bounty grinding for it. With them supposedly getting rid of the DCV if they included all strikes in the playlist and did that I’d be super pleased

They are not getting rid of DCV, just not vaulting any more expansions. Seasonal stuff and anything not story related (Dares, legacy raids) will probably go away. The entire Destiny story will now be Shadowkeep until the end. Everything that came before SK has nothing to do with The Witness or pyramid ships, so Bungie now has ONE story to tell for new players. No Red War, no Forsaken. No other story except The Witness.

Keep the non craftable red borders coming i say. Each gun I have to craft twice, once just to get the gun and a second time with the enhanced perks and the cost is astronomical so those extra red borders are needed.
