Bring back better quality full game DLCs. Put more effort in content that will last.

1 返信Or play something else. Destiny 2 is not designed to be played 24/365. Halloween sale is not over for lots of games. Good luck!

Spawn Of Apathyにより編集済み: 10/29/2022 4:19:24 PMWe never got DLC equal to a full game. I don’t expect we ever will. And the content never “lasts”. We finish it all within a few months, and then only have the grinds and PvP for 8-9 months. The seasonal model has existed in some form for nearly all of D2 and half the franchise’s history. The first year Bungie used the seasonal model was Forsaken w/ Season of the Forge, Drifter, and Opulence. Even in Season of the Forge people were complaining about time gating the forges. Why, because they were already starving for content not even four months after Forsake released. No expansion or release of a new game will last all year. Not unless Bungie were to time gate everything in it, like only unlocking 1 campaign mission a week. Which nobody wants.

10 通の返信We get these every year still..... Plus not having seasons will only cause a content drought A season last for 3 more month and everyone already panicking TTK wasn't that good ...it just was their 1st ....forsaken and witch queen easily beat TTK

5 通の返信That's not gonna work it was easy to do thoes due Activision's staff and resources they have maybe a small- medium team do the seasonal content while majority of them work on the new expansion especially the well talented team members Idk about you but I don't see the difference between this and the old seasonal model during forsaken you guys said you willing to wait a whole year for a giant DLC that's a lie be honest the playerbase will drop even harder then it is today that's why they switched to that model on the first place and they even said that the game can't survive that way when they introduced the seasonal Model What I hate that they didn't keep their word on destiny was a evolving world but it's not it's been the same since season of the chosen and that was nessus do to a strike no changes in the open world on the Moon,EDZ,Cosmodrome due to the Lucent Hive

24 通の返信Reading these replies tbh is soooo vomit inducing, tbh stop pulling the Activision card , holy crap that company is on fire rn . They can't make content at all. Wanna blame a big corp? Blame Sony, Blame Microsoft for screwing up the Bungie deal . The ORIGINAL BUNGIE team we love doesn't exist anymore . The current Bungie is like when Nolan North voiced Cayde after Nathan Fillion left (to do better work ) , the difference isn't subtle an it feels off. This isn't Halo Bungie , this is people who didn't leave Bungie . That's all .

1 返信It clearly does work. I would even estimate it nets more profit than any other previous model.

7 通の返信Dude… take a break. It does wonders. Bungie will never be able to release enough content to satisfy the hardcore players. They will devour it like a dog eating boiled okra. Take off the rose colored glasses. There is more Destiny content being released over an expansions lifetime now than ever before. Sometimes the seasonal stuff won’t grab you (I think last years seasons were better overall than this years). We’ve been playing the same game going on a the better part of 5 years… just take a break. It will be here when you get back.

1 返信This is why I won't buy seasons. Old, reskinned content that it looks like it was reskinned. A fresh, or not a fresh coat of paint, or run reused content in reverse. Bungie's killed Destiny, the only problem is a lot of people don't realize it yet. They keep holding out hope that next season, next season will be better! When it won't be, it'll be worse. We've been seeing this trend for way too long now. Bungie doesn't care, Bungie ain't listening, not giving Bungie any more money won't help either, because Bungie will only charge more and the whales will continue to buy anything.

6 通の返信People talk about "Remember the drought a few months after kings fall? We don't have that anymore." It's like yeah, but we also don't have memorable content. King's Fall lasted a few months and then we had nothing to do, but those were memorable months. It is looked at as some of the best content in the history of the franchise. People would rather have chores every week with 5 minute story beats opposed to a few months of memorable content that is talked about for years.

2 通の返信Bungie was bought for $3.6Billion,,,,,but you think it’s not working? I am sure Bungie will get right on it. They’ll upgrade to dedicated servers too at the same time.

4 通の返信
The season model does not work.
It doesn’t work. The seasonal model is the most empty game Destiny has ever been. I’ve played since D1 nonstop and I stopped playing after Activision left right after I experienced how empty the seasonal model was. There is nothing here. A cash cowing game. Throw money at screen is exactly that, throwing money at nothing. An empty and broken game. Empty. Haha!🤣

Guys its been an honor. I have probably been a raid member in one of your groups at some point, a strike member, or even a gambit invader. I have enjoyed playing with all of you, but I think the free to play is hitting the point where I can miss out on lore and new supers and not really mind it. Hopefully, it'll get better in the future.

3 通の返信Agreed, I positively despise the FOMO, seasonal style we have now and all the tactics used in relation to it. I think it’s popular among the younger crowd cause it’s more what they are used to growing up with.
-
I honestly don't see any improvements from bungie. FOMO drives seasonal content. Reused and cut content from D1 and D2 DCV are just lazy examples of the lack of effort. Witch Queen campaign was quality if only they could produce a DLC with the same quality. Can't stand the whole voice over storyline while playing a seasonal activity. The focusing on PVP hasn't happened.

Personally I prefer 4 week content droughts over 11 month content droughts. But maybe that's me. New DLCs are currently rivalling what the taken king provided, which people seem to crown as the biggest success of the series, so I don't see why the need to sacrifice the in-between
