You will drive yourself absolutely insane if you force yourself to log in every day/week despite not really enjoying it. There are thousands of games out there, many better than Destiny, that can take up your time until Lightfall. Complaints on these forums will mostly fall on deaf ears, and no helpful quality of life changes are on the immediate horizon. Let this game die down for a while.

5 通の返信TheArtistにより編集済み: 10/27/2022 5:26:56 PMThat’s true of every game. You’re going to get sick of it if you don’t pace yourself. But people would rather get mad, and blame Bungie instead of taking a break.

1 返信In my opinion, PvE wise, the game gets boring fairly quickly. PvP wise, I always find ways for enjoyment. Because you never know what you’re gonna run into while playing PvP. Some of my best and most memorable times on D2 have been from PvP.

They do this out of FOMO Here what they need to do help them if they love the game and plan to come back 1. Buy DLC or Annual Pass or seasons 2. Play the DLC and Season 19 or skip To 21-22 not to 23 (but that's up to you if you want to take that gamble) You can literally skip 2 seasons and come back you got till the end of the year

The2ndWaveにより編集済み: 10/28/2022 5:52:52 PM
Destiny is not a game that can be played constantly
Destiny is a game that you don’t want to play. I have extra money for entertainment. I spend it however I want. But in return, I have to be entertained. If it’s a game, it better be fun and worth the time playing it. Destiny right now is not worth it. It’s a game that you don’t want to play. Heck, you don’t even play even when you’re in it. You’re just a hamster in it. Haha!🤣 🐹

1 返信
Destiny is not a game that can be played constantly
Tell that to streamers making a living off this game and no lifers that play 10 to 15 hours a day having this illusion this is the only game there is to play. Meanwhile, Bungie is misleading players saying they don't want players playing the game like it is their life but they have been literally designing it to be that way the last 3 years.
😂🤦♂️
Breaks are fine, needed even. I played D1 daily. D2 i played daily until warmind was over, left before forsaken was even announced. Came back about 3 months before season of opulance, played until they sunset then left again. Came back in BL and played maybe 3 months then left again and didnt come back until WQ went on sale for $25 You can skip an entire year in this game, do some medium grinding for a week and be caught up with virtually everyone else. Eververse stuff is mediocre at best, the seasonal model is terrible and never has anything of interest anyway, and any weapons/armor you miss will either be brought back or nerfed into the ground to the point theyre unusable so no point in having them anyway. Youre not gonna miss ANYTHING of any real value. Whatever you miss will get a reskin or become irrelevant. Destiny is a game that unless youre DEEP into it and invested in the story you could come back once or twice a year, do some medium grinding for maybe a month, then quit again and never miss a single thing because pretty much everything obtainable in this game is just a reskin of previous stuff. And the stuff that IS unique never lives longer than a month before its either nerfed to the ground or whatever niche role it had is now gone and its not worth using anywhere else (aegirs scepter anyone). So yes, if you feel burnt out, LEAVE...go play something else. Yes this game has horrible issues due to an incompotent dev team, we've known that since warmind, but dammit it is fun every now and then aint it. Leave for about 6 months and come back, itll actually be fun again for a little while. Once you start feeling burnt out again...leave again. Rinse, wash, repeat. And if you feel like paying for the current season/dlc when you return then do so, youll be happy you did. But also stop preordering -blam!-, thats just a dumb ideology to begin with but especially bungie, they havent deserved preorder money since Warmind and they just got bought by sony, theyre perfectly fine financially. Thanks for coming to my FedUp Talk.

58 通の返信The Hermit IXにより編集済み: 10/27/2022 5:50:17 AMI play it every week and it’s worth every dollar I’ve spent. Countless hours of playing enjoyment and it’s less than $9 a month. If you like playing a game regularly, it’s a solid choice.

1 返信The pinnacle grind is a big factor to this. Do away with Light Level. Standardise difficulty in all activities. GMs: equivalent to -25 LL currently Master: equivalent to -10 LL currently Legendary Story: Keep it the way it is Legend: equivalent to scaled LL (same level) Time gate GMs as much as they want. As long as I don’t have to participate in the levelling slog I don’t care what point they return in the season.

1 返信No game is. Games are fake. If you are spending the majority of your actual life living in a fake world you're going to be miserable.

FataLVisioN_Ooにより編集済み: 10/27/2022 6:32:48 PMWish they'd let you bang out the little bit of content there is each season at your own pace instead of it being time gated to stretch it out for a few months. Heaven forbid you be allowed to touch grass 🤣 I miss being able to play the game the way I want to and do the things that I want to do in game instead of having a weekly chore list

It can be played constantly, especially for the simple PvE bits like the couple of daily bounties which aren't too bad of a rhythm to keep if you enjoy it. But yeah, I agree. Too many people take this game as a job and it's not healthy. Weekly login for story beat, some pinnacles, a challenge or two, then that's it. It gets even easier once the story beats stop so now all you need to even think about is some challenges and pinnacles again, raid or dungeon with clan / buddies if you're not solo. Take it easy kinda deal. There's more than enough time to get the seasonal title and wrap up challenges for the big dust package, past content isn't getting vaulted anymore so you can take those on at leisure.

10 通の返信If you spend more than 20 hours ( which is still a TON) of your week playing any video game you need to chill. Addiction is real, and gaming addiction is VERY hard to break. Playing video games 2-3 hours a day even is basically a part time job.

You shouldn’t play any game constantly. Only play games after spending an hour or two in the gym. Then hopefully you’ll be thinking clearly enough to understand how unhealthy it is to play too much games.

Au contraire mon ami, this game is designed to be played everyday, seven days a week for long periods of time. The problematic aspect with destiny is that the game is designed to push certain psychological triggers that "force" (NOTE QUOTATIONS) players to continue playing. The most evident of those is the well documented FOMO. The seemingly arbitrary buffs or nerfs also play into this, since you won't want to miss easy farming or certain aspects of the power fantasy.
