Allowing other to be human and make the mistakes we make while not pretending that we ourselves are some how perfect?
That’s even harder.
This isn’t about being human - this is about a corporation delivering a product - don’t give me this “we’re not allowed to make mistakes” crap - you’re making 2 billion a year then you can afford to ship a usable product…

People are going to make mistakes. Whether you “allow” them to or not. The only question is whether or not you’re going to accept this reality and make peace with it…or if you’re going to go to war with it…. …and other people. Your choice.

Being human and making mistakes isn't the issue.

TheArtistにより編集済み: 10/27/2022 11:48:54 AMThen you need to find another hobby. The closest I’ve ever come to seeing a perfect video game was the original Horizon: Zero Dawn. Gorgeous game. Produced for a single platform as a Sony exclusive. I played all the way through the game and most of the side quests without encountering a single bug or glitch. Not one. Want to know how many patches Guerrilla Games had to release post launch in order to fix bugs and other problems? Three. Oh, and the PC release? Which then had to adapt the game to lots of different hardware and machine specs? Lots of bugs. To the point of player complaints. They are just a fact of life. They are going to happen because NOTHING humans do is ever perfect. So to do what you are asking is to basically not have any games to play.

Go ahead - make all the mistakes you want - just don’t release them to the public - I refuse to play test your game for you at full price… And don’t come on here trying to tell me that quality control is nonexistent because of the nature of how it’s developed… Someone signed off on this to be released in the state that it’s in…and they deserve all the frustration that goes with that decision if it’s not in a usable state…

Perfection is an illusion. There is a difference between expecting excellence and accepting that mistakes will be made, and correcting them….. …and demanding the impossible and getting angry when others (inevitably) fall short. Especially if one, hypocritically, fails to hold one’s self to that same standard (Do as I say, not as I do).

Your making false equivalencies - this isn’t about perfection - this is about standards. This company should have them when they release their software. And not release products that are unusable and to such a low standard.

Not false equivalence. I’m simply putting your own words into perspective, and even you don’t like their implication. You are demanding perfection of others. People frequently do that when you pin them down and hold them to how they really move through the world.
