The vex mythoclast is literally getting outgunned at every engagement range by every other guntype in the game. The gun was literally only strong when particle deconstruction and solar 3.0 mods were available now that they are gone the gun is borderline trash for pvp. I use this gun almost exclusively in pvp and even though it feels really bad I use it anyway because I actually really love the gun always have ever since destiny 1. It needs help what you gave it was not enough it literally gets outgunned by almost everything in the game still. I have just about every buff I can put on it through mods to exotics including rain of fire warlock boots and its still underperforming. Even when I land all my headshots I still lose most of the time. I get either 3 tapped by pulse rifles, scout rifles, sidearms and handcannons at midrange or close range.I literally just get outclassed by smgs in mid to close range. Or I get ran up on by a titan with a shotgun and either double melee or shotgunned to the face because I literally cant kill them faster than they can run up on me and shotgun me. I literally dont even attempt to fight long range with the weapon I switch because obviously across the map is way out of its intended range. I am fighting my battles in specific situations where the Vex should be strong and win more than it loses and that simply is not the case. Winning engagements with the weapon is extremely difficult most times theres nothing I can do about it other than getting mop up kills from team shooting and maybe getting a kill or two after because im radiant but thats about it getting 3 kills in a row with it to reach LFR mode is beyond difficult I rarely get to use it in pvp. It either needs a flat damge buff or at the very least and I personally think would better allow the weapon to apply scorch stacks on hits so it can actually synergize with the solar subclass thats designed around using solar weapons. That way you dont have to directly buff the gun itself and you can buff and maintain its relevance through synergies. But for how difficult to obtain the weapon is it really should be more competitive in pvp. This gun is so Iconic that people still talk about the gun that havent played destiny since destiny 1. It should be strong its a raid weapon a raid exotic at that. Theres a reason you never see anyone using it anymore because its weak and they know its weak. No ones even remotely afraid to push me knowing full well im using the vex because the bolts it fires are unique to it and they know they can just straight up beat me they have no fear whatsoever. Its ttk my be low by looking at just the numbers but in practical use its ttk is much higher than pure numbers suggest.
