This game was built about being a combination of abilities and weapons. Not so lopsided on weapons. This is a fantasy space magic game. You want gunplay? Go to Call of Duty dude. You can't say you love this game but complain about abilities. They are the focal point of this game!

Winston and Reinhardt, among others, have non-aiming (in the sense of mechanically positioning a reticle over a target) methods of killing to their kit, just like how shoulder charge and supers work in Destiny. In each case for each game, gunplay can take a back seat for abilities or tools that don’t require aim/gunplay. Valorant probably would’ve been a better example since every character has to engage in gunplay at some point in time to succeed.
