Well, kind of hard to answer if you believe in God since it is stated, "God is love," but He can also bring down Divine retribution upon anyone He deems necessary. They would be equal and in my opinion higher than the wasps.

Considering divine retribution is not testable, so we can ignore that. And there are 75,000 species of wasp at quick google. Each wasp nest can hold about 10,000 wasps. That means if each of these species had just one colony that would be 750,000 wasps. Divide 17 trillion by that and we get in the ball park of 22.6 million wasp nests needed around the world. Which doesn’t actually sound like too far of a stretch. Maybe Even too few. The likelihood of there being about 17 trillion wasps could be a reasonable estimate for the number in the world and they’re not doing much in the grand scheme of things. I spent the morning giving scratches to my pup. Because I love him. That sounds like a win.
