We need a better way to do this than to rely on RNGesus to drop the right gun with the red border. I have so many still not done. Yet the seasonal weapons go bye bye when the DLC drops.

8 通の返信It’s sad that weapon crafting was hyped and everyone thought it would fix so many problems and improve the QOL for players. Instead, it’s an even more disappointing grind fest.

3 通の返信The more I see complaints about crafting weapons and the more I actually try to craft some myself, the more I wonder why we are even bothering? The game is the easiest it has ever been. Most weapons feel and perform good even when they aren’t god rolls. Most of the benefits from crafting are hardly noticeable. I don’t know about you fellas, but now once I get a good enough roll on a weapon I want Ill probably stop farming for it. If I eventually get enough red borders by going for other weapons then sure I’ll craft it, but I wont be chasing red borders anymore.

3 通の返信Ok let's say you get the weapon patterns that you want, now what ? You will now have less reason to do that activity and there for one less activity to play. For raids (Vow and KF) you have 2 guaranteed red borders each week. One of them is a choosable one. Dares gives one on your first Legend, i believe it was. plus you get a lot keys from bounties and completing the activity. And of course you have the randomly dropped red border ones.

3 通の返信My problem is once you manage to get one unlocked to be craftable which can take forever you have to kill thousands off adds to level the gun up which takes forever
-
Its a system so that you can craft 1 after a while if you didn't got a roll you liked ...not here to give you what you want immediately Seasonal weapons and activities aren't leaving when the season is out ....you can still farm the 2 previous seasonal weapons

3 通の返信100% agree I’ve been grinding for weeks for get red borders for the BXR-55 battler but no luck over 200 keys from dares of eternity let’s just say I’m taking a break from this game😂

5 通の返信The grind has made me and several people I play with move on to another game yet again. We all have a love hate relationship with Destiny we want to play and have fun but the grind to actually get the stuff just turns boring and more of a job than anything fun. Sadly seems to be no real way to get most of them either other than just random luck. In the past they at least made it so you could buy one red that you needed each week to get the pattern but I see no way to do that this season.
-
2 通の返信Hey, does anyone know a way to see, in game, how many more red border patterns you need to complete in order to craft a weapon? I can't figure it out unless I use DIM.
-
Very true, i will have so many unobtainable weapons because i can't be bothered to fight rng every single week. Did they even think about it at all? Seasonal content gets removed annualy and we can't get the patterns anymore. Great idea.

1 返信My disappointment isn`t so much about the grind, as much as the one crafting ability left out.. WEAPON SIGHTS I`ve a vault full of guns I don`t use solely because I don`t like the sights.

1 返信Unlocking, leveling, reshaping, lack of unlocked perk permanence, and lack of multiple perks per column are all pain points. It's pretty clear that it was launched in a half-baked state and we've been beta testing it all year. All of it needs a serious dev and game design pass. I think there's a good chance there's some internal struggle between keeping random rolls valuable to extend player time in game and making crafting more accessible for all. Makes no sense otherwise as to why the experience is so crippled right now. Here's hoping this is being looked at with intention as personally its really beginning to be a pretty big source of both FOMO and burnout in the game for a lot of players, myself included.

2 通の返信More Powerにより編集済み: 9/30/2022 10:36:37 PMThe problem for me isn’t that the grind and rng is daunting. It’s that once you’ve invested so much, Bungie feels no remorse for destroying all that effort with nerfs soon thereafter. This painful lesson was learned in D1. I learned a long time ago that, for me, I’m only interested in the gun/gear that drop as a consequence of engaging with the activities I enjoy. I stopped trying to get the hard to get stuff. Though I was real temped to pay to get a Not Forgotten. I would have if I’d known it would remain meta for as long as it did.

1 返信They need to allow us to use a boon of some description which gives a greatly increased chance for red border drops until you get x number of red border weapons. Make it cost an ascendant shard and other materials

I agree, it's already week 6, and I play quite often. And I do a lot of the seasonal activities, and unless I'm sitting there ignoring my family, my RNG is bad. 😆 But for real. 95 Opultent chest, just to get a Astringer lol.

8 通の返信Is it true if you delete the weapon with the red border you get the pattern without having to complete the kills on the weapon.?
-
3 通の返信Seasonal weapons only go away in major expansions. Which is lightfall. Which is 2 seasons away.

I just gave up. I got a few patterns I like and I’m done. Every red border I get I immediately break down. Don’t even do the deepsight. What’s wild is the game will still unlock a pattern every now and then without me ever even using the weapon.
