Make freelance permanent
Remove card based matchmaking and the flawless pool
PURE CONNECTION BASED MATCHMAKING with the freelance mode always active.
^This will be the best trials.
Edit for those of you who don’t realize
CARD BASED MATCHMAKING, is the reason why casuals struggled so much with trials. It allowed reset farming, and it made the games progressively harder and harder as the card moved on. This is especially the case in cheesey metas like this one, where builds win games over skill. I promise everyone that card based is the issue.
Games getting progressively harder at 5 and 6 wins is why y’all had issues with flawless. We do not need all of these stupid pools if card based is gone, everyone will have a FAIR AND EQUAL CHANCE, everyone matches everyone. No cake lobbies for Timmy no thumbs, no pulse+bow campers with lorenz parties for good players, it’s all even, everyone gets everything and gets the same loot for the same task. This is fair, this is the middle ground, this is what it needs to be.

1 返信Flawless isn’t supposed to be achieved easily by casuals if at all. Think of it as a grandmaster but PvP.

4 通の返信It should be but the pvp community is just toxic and has way to many gate keepers. This games pvp isn’t even worth being taking this seriously. It’s a laughing stock game outside of this community. No one cares how good you are at destiny pvp they say “ you play that shitstain pvp”. You got nothing out of this games pvp so I don’t know why hat keepers are holding onto the past 🤷

BraddyBoにより編集済み: 9/25/2022 3:58:02 PMThe best trials was in D1Y1. No card based mm, no flawless pool, no trials rep and only 1 weekly lighthouse drop per character. 3 easy trips every week not having to deal with streamers, recovs, stat padders and 24/7 players racking up 100s of wins every week.

3 通の返信I mean at what point do we just give away the loot upon log in. Flawless is very achievable if you are a good pvp players and thats all it should be. It shouldnt be achievable if your bad or have bad teammates. Somebody has to lose we all cant be winners. Skilled players should win based on time taken to acquire skill.

hate n payneにより編集済み: 9/22/2022 6:18:56 PMI feel SBMM could only work with Card Based Matchmaking. The current system in place is horrific for the game mode and adding Freelance only puts out the fire versus sustaining it. Bungie needs to really figure how which MM system works for which game mode and which maps works for which game mode and playlists. The lobby balancing cannot ever become healthy if the MM system is struggling to align with the modes and maps.

35 通の返信The flawless pool is a great idea. They just need to get rid of card resetting for it to work properly. You have to finish a card whether you get 7 wins or 3 losses. I don’t even play trials, so I don’t care that much at all; but I think that’d bring some integrity into the playlist.

My take is that they should take out flawless pool, keep freelance all the time, keep card based, but only allow resets when you have a lose. I guarantee very few people will want to lose games in order to kd farm.

4 通の返信NotCreative123により編集済み: 9/21/2022 6:04:02 PMIf Trial removes card-based matchmaking, it removes the ability for players to 1-win reset or farm wins. That's a win by itself

Thank you! Those who disagree with this simply have not played enough to know any better. Statistically, this is the best solution for all ends and last season proved it when card based matchmaking and the flawless pool broke that one week. Twice the unique flawlesses and 3x the playerbase

2 通の返信I didn’t expect to see this post from you, since you’re usually pretty toxic. But I agree, these would be healthy changes for trials overall

GMDeece7により編集済み: 9/21/2022 12:44:14 AMI’m not sure what can salvage trials at this point. The fact it’s so competitive pushes most low to above average skills away. This idea wouldn’t keep these players, as they simply aren’t playing it anyway, as they feel they can never compete. Loot incentive clearly isn’t enough. They dip immediately after they get what they want, lessening the population even more. How do you think Bungie should attract a guy like me to play trials? Someone who has refused to play it since it’s inception. Your idea wouldn’t be enough to convince me to play it. What else is there to do to convince the low to above average to try and compete the entire season (especially people like me who continually refuse to even try the playlist)? Trials in not fun, and honestly would kill my mental state if I tried it. I have enough reasons to hate myself.
