30% is way too much.
That would make it outdamage star eaters blade barrage .
Just rework the super to apply jolt to enemies and by itself work like geomags chaos reach.
That adds damage and clears adds next to the boss you hit.
And make geomags give super energy on arc trace pickups and add anti barrier and overload to the super.

I like this idea, yet i still cant bend my head around the fact that chaos reach does less DPS than a lineair fusion rifle. It would be interesting to see what would happen if it were the other way around: half the duration, double the damage, while jolting enemies.

I think with that statement you are downplaying the diversity that comes with all classes, because it isnt set in stone what role each class has. I can build around support as a hunter, warlock and titan. Add clear is also something all classes can do. In base they all are the classic archetypes: warrior, mage and thief. However, there are more ways to enhance or specialize your character into for example a monk, paladin, archer, spellblade, blood mage or healer and many more. Some of them are really good, others arent really fleshed out. Dawnblade for example was supposed to be a pyromancer or a healer, but for either role you are better off using a titan. Hunters do have the best one target damage if they want to, but that doesnt define their class. Titans being the defensive class i get, because they literally can throw up walls.
Well hunters cant focus on support.
There are plenty of definitions for support. Suppressing and debuffing enemies could be considered as support. Orb generation can also be considered as support. Hunters really shine at this at the moment. Invis can also be considered as a support tool.
Hunters also cant focus on defense abilities. Because they have none.
Agreed, hunters are mostly lone wolfs. Omniocolus has pretty good defensive capabilities and is insanely useful in Grandmasters and such, but i get what you mean: its not the defender roleplaying fantasy. Thats more a titan thing.
So you cant build every class for everything.
Amen to that. If it were, all classes would lose their identity. You cant build the same thing on a titan and a hunter and expect the same results.

Except it isn't. Before Geomags got nerfed into the ground , it was used as a spammy sustained damage super which was extremely useful against High Rank enemies. Without Geomags you could use it against ads too when manual cancel refunded you super energy but stormtrance was better for that.

That’s not an argument. It’s a sustained damage super that should be able to keep up with the DPS of the burst damage supers because of the weapon damage it gives up during a damage phase. Same thing for Maul. Dawnblade needs some help too. Nova Bomb lags behind and has no way to boost itself to catch up. And FoH needs trample back. It is egregiously short compared to Arc Staff and Golden Gun. I’ve heard 14 shots from a single GG in a crucible match which is just ridiculous.
