I think this would be great — only thing I would add is that I feel they should be from Master raids.
People often say, “but there’s a memento from just playing Gambit!” Yes, there is, and I think that the Gambit memento was a mistake. Go flawless, complete a Grandmaster strike, or… play Gambit?
Part of the allure of the mementos [i]should be[/i] the prestige of having one. As a PvE player, whenever I see someone with the flawless memento, I know I’m in for a beat down. I also know I’ll probably never get it, and I’m okay with that.
Maybe they could be incorporated into the normal-mode raids as well, but as a very rare drop. I’m thinking raid exotic levels of rarity, perhaps more. Curious to hear what others think.
Edit: Forgot to mention — this could be expanded to Master Dungeons too, although I’d rather have them from raids.

I recognize that solo players are a large, valuable part of the community. I’m simply sharing my perspective on what these mementos should mean, and the weight they should carry. Personally, I [i]am[/i] a fan of the having rewards that are aspirational and difficult to acquire. In this game, almost all of the true endgame content requires forming a fireteam (unless you’re a god amongst men and can solo master dungeons, do low-man raids, etc.) I’ve never done a master raid, but having an awesome taken memento as a reward for completing King’s Fall on master might incentivize people to dive in. Besides, there are plenty of avenues available for “solo” players to find a fireteam to take on these team-oriented activities. They just need to make that jump. Raids, trials, etc. are what have kept this game alive for many, myself included. I don’t think that adding cool rewards behind them should be considered “elitism”.

They’re certainly a lot of fun! Plus, you’ll unlock a bunch of new weapons and gear. All the better for shooting some aliens. Totally empathize with the social anxiety point — you’re not alone. I would encourage you to give it a shot! Shooting Oryx into oblivion and watching him float off into space is one of the best feelings I’ve gotten out of a game. Have a good one. Feel free to add me if you have interest in running dungeons or strikes — I’m pretty bad at PvP, though, lol

I wish the person I had replied to talking about how it’s would be a little unfair for the solo player if raid momentous were behind master had acted like this in a civilized manner. He literally won’t stop trying to get me to go play Fortnite smh.
