Care to source that claim?
Because you can't just say that and expect everyone to believe it.
I could say I've had the exact opposite experience and have just as much basis for it to be believable. In fact, it was probably an issue with your machine if you were having poor latency during cbmm matches. That's not an uncommon occurence.

It would be literally impossible for your connection to improve under SBMM and be better than it was under CBMM. Under connection, matchmaking is literally done based on best ping with no skill factored in. As soon as you inject different search variables into that equation, the connection can only possibly get worse, not better. If your connection actually got better, it's probably something to do with your own network environment that has nothing to do with Destiny whatsoever.

Again, that's not the kind of claim you can make without evidence. I imagine you probably don't have the evidence since most people don't record their every match, but you can look in plenty of places and find equally weighted claims to the exact opposite. Which is why anecdotes are worthless in this kind of discussion.
