The only console cheats available are literally undetectable. Even Microsoft admitted Zen can't be detected cause it goes through the controller specifically so a system can't differentiate between if it is your thumbs or Zen. Hense why everyone knows Zen and it is so successful. Cause there has never been anything capable to counter it. PC cheating is detectable. It isn't hiding behind a controller. It is a program running detecable by anticheat knowing what you are running and being able to tell when you are altering game codes normality. Like ya you can lag switch but that just is dumb, do you enjoy playing with lag?

It's a controller emulator. Doesn't really work that way. And it is a touchy subject for some devs. Some players with disabilities need MnK because their hands just can't work on a controller, but the game doesn't support MnK on console. Not sure if you know this, but the accessibility options from Sony and MS are quite literally trash. What Bungie needs to do is add MnK support to console, and input based matchmaking, and then start banning people who appear to be using a workaround. That last bit is easier said than done though.

I keep hearing this “accessibility” argument. It’s a false one. Accessibility is for the company in question to facilitate. Legally, they cannot point to a 3rd party that has no contractual binding to them and declare they’re compliant via that 3rd party. The ONLY way they could have even a small bit of coverage is if they either own, or are in a binding contract with the 3rd party. Even that is iffy, bc it still would require Bungie to have an adequate level of oversight of the 3rd party. Same goes for Sony and Microsoft. So, if you want them to actually DO something about the exploitation of these macro devices, report them. I should also mention that the PS5 doesn’t allow these devices natively, unlike the new XBox.

Bungie can’t detect if they are being used on console. From what I understand not even MS and Sony currently have a way to detect those devices.

Yep. I find it funny that people refuse to believe console cheaters dont exist when you see the gilded flawless on controller do a 360 and headshot you in the span of .05 seconds. Absolute comedy.

I don’t see how they could ban people for using a device that enables m&k when pc stadia players are lumped in with console lobbies (with m&k enabled). Next time you see someone doing movement/aim shenanigans check the roster, I bet they are on stadia. They get to play with pc movement and recoil in console lobbies for….reasons.

For the record some people are spreading a false narrative and saying the 2 devices(I dare not speak their name or I will get another temp-ban) have been "discussed by community managers" and it is not cheating according to them. When they are asked for links well crickets. If you wonder how its cheating its just an adapter(as I see this question alot). It adds reticle friction to k&m, it removes recoil, and runs scripts.

This post is worthless if misinformation is spread and we don't come up with a solution to cheaters on console. I'm going to take some time and explain some things I often see misrepresented or misunderstood by players. Definition: A Controller emulator is a device that interfaces between your controller and your console. It is programmable and will run simple scripts. Common uses include: removing recoil from weapons, adding a rapid-fire mod to weapons, artificially adding reticle stickiness by modifying reticle movement, and programming complicated movements like bow/handcannon hotswap. Here are the facts that people usually get wrong: (1) A controller emulator can only do what your controller can do. Infinite ammo, wall hacks, invincibility, and other things that are usually impossible are also impossible to accomplish with a controller emulator. A controller emulator will not give you "aim-bot", but it will make it easier to reliably land shots (reduced recoil, increased reticle stickiness). (2) Lots of people think that controller emulators are commonplace on console. The fact is that no one knows how common they are, because the data doesn't exist. (3) Lots of players have claimed that they themselves or top players can identify cheaters by the way they move, aim or behave in the game. I'm sorry to tell you, but I haven't heard a single reliable method of identifying a person using this, and I've been looking. This whole post is pointless unless someone can tell me what the heck we are supposed to do about controller emulators on console. I think we should petition Microsoft and Sony, but I'm open to other suggestions. Also, it would be helpful if someone provided a better means of identifying cheaters on console (other than: "He botwalked and sniped me")

Since Bungie’s Anti Cheat isn’t working, they need to let Steam Deck players play their game on there. Edit: Cheaters will always find a way around the systems so they can cheat all they want. Technology has advanced to the point where people find ways to cheat undetectably and continue. They laugh at developers attempts to stop them but they don’t succeed. Abolish the Anti Cheat -blam!- and just let people play. Don’t like cheating? It’s simple. Don’t. Play. PvP. There, problem solved. Cheating happens in PvP only, never do I find a cheater in a PvE game and if they do cheat in PvE, who cares, they aren’t effecting you. Move on.

The devices are created to be almost undetectable while using them on whichever gaming platform you’re using. Even if let’s say Microsoft/Sony found a way to detect said devices. The designers/manufacturers will just implement new coding that will yet again make the device undetectable. And let’s talk about other third party manufacturers. These individuals will continue making said devices because they can profit a lot from them. Not to mention they’re not breaking any rules. Because they simply are making an external device that is simply an application, and nothing that overrides coding or breaks firewalls within a specific game that is “illegal.” As bad as it is. The devices do need to be taken down somehow. But if one device proves to be obsolete, than another one will replace it. It’s just how it is.

It's almost impossible to detect or prove these input devices are being used. I swear I run into someone with perfect aim and zero recoil every other match, their smg locking onto my head with zero recoil from 30+ meters away on a controller while I'm hitting headshots with a high cal pulse rifle. Sometimes players have great aim but sometimes players have superhuman aim. Just can't prove anything.

Not only hard to detect, some are licensed by the console companies. I was given one as a christmas present. You can do all sorts of things with it, and its licensed by xbox. I have never used it, still in the box. I am guessing it would be extremely difficult to punish somebody for using a licensed device. While I might use it some day, I would never use it in a PVP situation. I believe the reason that at least a few of these things are licensed by console companies, is that it is possible that those with disabilities may be helped by them. The problem is that while it helps one group in being able to play games, they get abused by other groups.
