Currently, Dawn Chorus only buffs scorch tick damage, which isn't very good against big targets, since you lose the benefits as soon as ignite procs. Many people were wondering why Dawn Chorus isn't the "super enhancing"-type exotic anymore, so I'm bringing some suggestions on how it could fill this role and also improve the neutral game of solar 3.0 warlock. The exotic perk would be: "[Scorched] targets explode on death. While [Daybreak] is active, each projectile hit grants the user the 'Flame Choir' buff, up to 5 stacks. Each stack of 'Flame Choir' grants [bonus super damage] (10%/stack) and extends the duration of [Daybreak] (1.5s/stack)." This buff would make Daybreak a more viable super during boss DPS, giving a total of 50% damage bonus to the later half of the super, while extending it's duration for an additional 7.5 seconds. Considering Daybreak lasts a very short time and does not have the damage output to compensate that, this change would make it a much more interesting alternative to those who do not wish to run Well of Radiance. Also, I'm not a fan of "switch" exotics that only benefits the super, so this change brings back a highly requested feature of Bottom Tree Dawnblade - the enemy explosions. Granted, this explosions would not be as strong as ignitions, so that the helmet stays balanced, but it still provides a nice touch to the neutral game. Other exotics, such as Star-eater Scales and [the titan chestplate] also provide similar amounts of super enhancing bonuses. Also, I would like to suggest a buff to the base duration of Daybreak, so it levels with other roaming supers, like Golden Gun and Arcstrider, which last a very long time even without a specific exotic piece. I strongly believe that this change would bring the super back too a more powerful state, while still not being oppressive in PvP. Secondly, Geomag Stabilizers feel pretty much mandatory for Chaos Reach, while still not being a very good option. Once more, I'd like to tie the neutral game to the exotic perk. The exotic perk would be: "Damaging enemies with Chaos Reach extends it's duration. For each [jolted] target defeated, the user gains the 'Unstable Current' buff, up to 10 stacks. Each stack grants [bonus super damage] (3.5%/stack)." This is a very similar idea to the Dawn Chorus previously mentioned, although a bit simpler. While not benefiting the neutral game directly, it ties the Arc verbs to the super enhancing aspect of the exotic armor. While this change grants a total of 35% damage bonus to chaos reach, I would like to call out the need for a buff to the base super damage, so it is also viable with other exotic options. This is very important to consider, so that build diversity isn't compromised, but rather improved. Finally, I would love to see Chromatic Fire receive the Bombardiers treatment. Solar and Stasis explosions could spread [scorch] and [slow], respectively, while Void and Arc have some different options. While [suppression] is very strong in both PvE and PvP, the perk could also turn nearby enemies [weakened]. I personally vow for suppression, so it has a better utility in different parts of the game, but I'm not sure if it would be unbalanced considering the exotic perk is much easier to proc than that of bombardiers. Arc could [jolt] or [blind] nearby enemies, both being very good for crowd control and able to synergize with the "Electrostatic Mind" warlock aspect. These suggestions come from a very passionate warlock-main, that also has a growing interest in the game's design. Although I have zero clue about game dev, I tried my best to think of interesting effects that wouldn't break the game. Not sure how hard it would be to implement those changes and how they would affect the game, since I can't playtest. I'd also like to thank the hard work the team puts in for this game. Hopefully this bit of feedback can be useful.
