Bungie should/needs to incentivize Guided Games in some way or fashion. This feature in my experience isn't helpful for a for casual players or die hard solo players. 99% of LFG posts are KWTD Posts (shocker) comprised of people who can teach but choose not to so solo players are subject to toxic groups (KWTD Kids, etc..) which can deter them away from using LFG in the future. Either incentivize the mode, make an LFG section for Sherpas, allow matchmaking in raids (controversial take), or just tell us solo players to get bent and removed Guided Games as a whole. Just do something

12 通の返信
99% of LFG posts are KWTD Posts (shocker) comprised of people who can teach but choose not to so solo players are subject to toxic groups (KWTD Kids, etc..)
You’re right, they should be forced to teach a new group Warpriest every timeand sit there for 3 hours constantly failing at one encounter every time. It’s so selfish that they don’t have to sit in a raid for eight hours, which I’ve done before; we still didn’t finish btw, with me so I get what I want. How dare they value their time. Imagine the level of entitlement someone possesses to want to finish a raid in 45-60 minutes instead of helping ME😡. I’m deserving of everyone else’s time because I’m good enough but also not at the same time because I lack the most basic understanding of the mechanics. I can’t possibly be bothered to watch a 30 minute video because that wastes my time, instead I’ll waste hours of everyone else’s time since that is more efficient.

3 通の返信Went into King's Fall guided games as teacher (4 player premade). We couldn't even reach the first boss as people got stuck on the first jumping puzzle. And those two randoms had no desire to communicate in any way; no Discord, no text chat.

1 返信My clan did it for fun one day, we had a group of 5 and queued up to carry one for VoG. When we got to the boss I hopped out to save the checkpoint to try and kill the boss 3 times to see if we could get him vex. The game called me an oathbreaker and would not allow me to rejoin the raid lol

I have taught 105 encounters. Sadly, we used to have an emblem telling others how many encounters we taught (the emblem on my Warlock), a massive golden aura that had this sick animation, for two weeks everytime we did guided games, and extra Bright Engrams. One day Bungie took all this away for no -blam!- reason. Now I loved teaching for the sake of teaching, but the problem is when someone disrespects you like that, you put yourself in a position where they can't slap you in the face again. Unfortunately that meant so many teachers quitting.

Tbh the solution lies in the middle. If I am doing a raid for the first time I usually watch a guide beforehand and let the LFG poster know that it is my first time, but also that I know what to do in theory. Things usually work out well. I understand what you are saying about having too many kwtd requirements, but it is also true that sometimes people just want to enjoy the raid without having to teach every single thing. One time I had a guy in my group who was struggling to understand how to defend a conflux… Many times, in my experience, the kwtd requirements could be loosely translated in “at least have a general idea of the encounters”.

2 通の返信“Comprised of people who can teach but choose not to.” This whole thing reeks of entitlement. My advice is join a clan a lot of them will teach you. But complaining on the forums because a multiplayer game doesn’t cater to a player who plays solo isn’t going to solve anything

1 返信Since they're putting lfg in the game, they might as well just get rid of this feature that nobody uses.

Join a clan if you want first hand instruction. Watch a video if you want to kwtd. Make your own group, you are not alone. Those are probably better options than asking bungie to cater the game for your social issues.

5 通の返信That's great idea.Like someone else said, at least an emblem exclusively for Sherpa's on Guided Games. Some people are obsessed with these emblems and flashing that art piece. It will work for sure.

2 通の返信In Y1 there were free Bright Engrams from completions, and an emblem for Leviathan and for Last Wish. Now nothing…. Nothing since SotP.

3 通の返信I just saw the option today for guided games and lol'd at how it still says beta. They aren't going do anything at this point. Consoles have built in lfg and PC discord for anyone interested in finding a game. Sure, there's the standard BS there, but also normal folks, just takes longer.

3 通の返信BANZAI GEXXにより編集済み: 9/1/2022 8:02:28 PMI agree. Give the guides adept raid weapons, increased chance for the exotic and a special emblem. This alone would increase the amount of help given. Only requirement is at least 2 of the players need to have never done the raid before. This alone would have LFG loaded with looking for raid noobs posts.

The problem is it requires a near full clan guide. They need to update it so that if you have 5+ clears you are a guide and if you have fewer than 5 clears you are a seeker. Guides should get a bonus pinnacle drop after after completing 3 guides and they should get a bonus drop from the final encounter as well as a higher drop chance for raid/dungeon exotics. Also a mic plugged in should be a requirement to launch GG.

Unfortunately I’m a game that has you repeat the same content continuously people tend to want to clear said content efficiently. There will always be KWTD posts for that but my best advice is make a post of your own, request a Sherpa, etc. Usually later in a season I look for those posts to teach people raids or get a first clear because it’s nice watching someone beat it for the first time.

I see what you’re saying. If you are willing to teach someone then provide an incentive to the time it takes. Unfortunately how do you suggest this gets monitored? I bet it would be very difficult. Clans exist. It’s not hard to find one. That’s probably the easiest way for people to achieve their goals.
