In my opinion RNG is not a mistake. It adds a carrot to the grind. Some people get the exotics first run, but those same people might have to run the following raid 50+ times for that exotic.
Whenever I read these posts, the only thing that comes to mind is “waaaah, I want everything easily so I can come to the forums and complain there isn’t enough stuff to do”

Ah yes, the only person who needs to resort to name calling because he knows his argument is just terrible. Point 1: nowhere near the whole community has to run 50+ raids to get the exotic. Point 2: an awful lot of players get the exotics relatively quickly, the reason you don’t hear about that is because they aren’t on here crying about having terrible luck. Point 3: at no point have I ever said that I think people should have to run things 50+ times, it’s just down to luck. Maybe you should try some critical thinking and exercise a reading level above that of a 3 year old before making such poor comments. 👍. Have a nice day.

question for you how can it be down to luck with a code thats made to troll people dont be ignorant hahaha seems you spend to much time gaming get outside and enjoy yourself ffs instead of trying to stand up for a company who couldn’t give a dam about you only your wallet 💴

That’s a terrible analogy. DnD has dozens, if not hundreds of mechanics, spells, and abilities that let you mitigate rng. All the way down to character build you can skew results in your favor. There is nothing purely rng about DnD
-
I guess you never play the original dnd because your wrong there bud and even new dnd all depends on how you the game master play dnd u make the rules so yes it all rng. This people whining about rng are the same people that get up set that cod and battlefield use to have challenges to unlock weapons the same people that go into any mmo and complain it’s to hard and that it should be easy it’s not just rng the problem you guys want everything. Handed to u go play wow or ff online and go fight a raid boss that’s already hard to begin with and not get the drop and you been trying for 15 years to get 1 weapon destiny has nothing on rng this -blam!- is easy
-
1. Again, even in 1st edition there were still tons of ways to mitigate pure RNG. So you’re still missing the point. 2. People actually WANT challenges, you’re arguing against yourself. The challenges in games like CoD, battlefield, etc allow a straight path towards obtaining a weapon. If anything, rng is way way more being “handed” something than quests. What takes more skill, doing the Divinity quest in GoS or Atheon randomly dropping after one clear? I know what my answer would be. 3. I’m not a grammar stickler or anything, but half your sentences are damn near unintelligible. Rng takes any skill out of acquiring the weapon, there’s no extra challenge and nothing the player does matters at all. Someone can do almost nothing during the entire raid and get the drop, while the raid leader that topped DPS gets nothing. Nobody wants anything handed to them, just a fair shot that takes skill and challenge into the equation.

I was following A long until I got to number three and u aside to insult someone so the rest of your point are invalid to me so there that. Once again u never played the original dnd let get that clear. Next up the divinity quest and raid was easy so don’t see a problem there. Challenge and story exotic are to easy to get I would prefer having to do a raid 1000 time and feel great when it drop that oh look this is what I get at the end of a challenge or story quest. Rng will always win welcome to a mmo

Man, I hate to tell you, but if me saying that most of your writing is really poorly structured is an insult, you ain’t gonna make it far. Whether something is easy or hard doesn’t even relate to the conversation. RNG takes ALL skill out of the equation. The person that got carried through one clear did way less work than for any quest exotic. Also, D2 isn’t an MMO (from the developers own words) it’s a looter shooter with MMO-lite mechanics. Obviously, we won’t come to an agreement, but I’ll leave you with this. If someone has to flip a coin until they get three heads in a row, VS someone that goes through a long, multi hour intensive trip to acquire a coin, and they both get the same reward. Who worked harder? Answer that, and you’ll understand my argument.
Whenever I read these posts, the only thing that comes to mind is “waaaah, I want everything easily so I can come to the forums and complain there isn’t enough stuff to do”
Back during D1 and D2 (before the Seasonal Content) people that did all the content then complained there was no content, know what I told them? I told them….. “there are thousands upon thousands of Games out there to play, rather then -blam!-, go play another game till there is more content to be had in Destiny.” I was swapping between Destiny and Warframe back and forth during those content doubt periods. When Destiny had content, I played it till I did everything, then went to Warframe until I did everything there, Destiny had more content via The Taken King and did that. That’s the problem with the Destiny community. They are sooooo addicted to ONE game that all other games are non existent. Which is sad cause God of War was awesome, Horizon Zero Dawn was good, so many other good games out there that people are completely missing out on.

Rng isnt difficulty. It isnt challenging, it isnt engaging, its just rolling an invisible set of dice, and if you get lucky and hit the right number you get what you want. This coming from someone who consistently gets rng exotics within 10 clears, I'd rather they make quests. Quests are actual content, they can be quite fun. But because people complained so hard about divinity we are never getting one again for a raid exotic.
-
That’s different, xur and a raid that you have to do for hours are different, you have to hope xur sells the thing you want then get it Raid now have a chance to make you go even more into it and leave you unable to get the weapon at all, is that really what we want? Hell I would say I want a quest for every single one that has something to do with the raid, a single player mission or a dungeon type of thing
-
Well I would like it like that, cause then rng for a exotic that can take a lot more then 100 runs to get it. A friend once said if it’s a dungeon exotic, 25 runs to have a 100% to get it and 50 to get it 100% for raid ones
-
I don’t like that idea at all. That’s pretty much guaranteeing the exotic. It should not work like a loyalty card. RNG is just fine as it is. Sometimes it goes your way, sometimes it doesn’t. But that’s for everyone which works out to be fair. Some people dont have time to run a raid 50 times. Some people need that little bit of luck.

And what exactly is wrorg there if we get a Gun at the start of the Season!? So we can actually use" that same Gun and enjoy it,or we just grind whole Season and don´t get it at all,or maybe at the end of the Season and probably Nerfed to the ground by that Time as usually!!! I feel sorry for the Guys that have play a Raid over 100 times and didn´t get a Vex...that´s very bad and very sad...
