Anyone else seeing a high number of matches with half your team or half the enemy team leaving the matches?
Why is this? Well, because there is no punishment for the people who get in a game, get slapped around a bit, cry and leave..
Sometimes it works in your favour but that doesn't make it fun or right.
There should be some kind of system in place for example
Leave 1 game - get a warning / chance to join back.
Leave 2 games - Issue a cool down to that player for x time.
Leave 3 games - take crucible away from that player for a few hours.
Everyone loses games but it leaves those games where half the people leave as a waste of time for the players who stick around in it.
Don't be that guy/girl.
UPDATE FROM BUNGIE
QUITTING
We have seen one worrying trend in the data: the percentage of players quitting before the end of the match has risen from 8% to 12% in the last week. This is especially bad with matches designed to be balanced with 12 equally skilled players. We are still investigating to see if this is localized to a specific cohort or playstyle, or if this is a natural player reaction to a new system. This percentage may reduce over time. Stay tuned!
We are going to be adding quitter protection to Control in a future patch. We hope to discuss more in a future TWAB.

28 通の返信Hurray for sbmm, right? You cavalcade of -blam!- ups. If you wanted skill based so badly, all you had to do was switch to ranked. Quick play is meant for connection based and silly fun. But you had to -blam!- and moan.

1 返信It's quick play, for one. For two, I'm not going to stay on a bad map, or in a spawntrap, or against a stack. If there's a working map filter with stack protection, then fine. But until that, I'm going to abandon. For three, it's quick play.

2 通の返信This is the third time today I’ve seen a post titled this. If you don’t like it play a PvP game like CoD. Destiny is a PvE game and it’s about time Bungie stopped catering to you cry babies and focussed on the money making side of the game (PvE, the majority).

1 返信Players say they quit because maps, lag, stacks, but it really all comes down to one thing: They don't like to lose. If you have to win to have fun, then you're a loser. Please quit ruining Crcucible for actual Players, and stay out of the playlist. Or, go find 5 other people and run stacked. At least then, when you inevitably start to lose and leave, the game will end. Also, when you lose, you're more likely to win the next game. That's SBMM in action. Why not take your loss (or not, anything can happen) and just win the next, easier game?

10 通の返信Hi there, top 3% overall (by overall KD) I have never left a competitive, or trials match, but casual? Here is my view, if I’m put in a match that’s like 20-70 already? It’s just not worth it because at that point a team is already trapped and I’m not gunna sit there and spawn die to supers for the next 2 minutes for a mercy, I thinks that’s a fair and valid point, I’d be more inclined if supers were relative if you were placed in progress, like if your supers base time was 5 minutes and you get placed into a match in progress 5 minutes in, you should spawn in with super that’s just me. But the biggest thing for me is the fun of it, I play crucible for fun, and I actually have a pretty high match loss rate, I lose more matches than I win for a similar reason to a lot of other people here, lopsided lobbies, when I load into matches and see a team where out of my 5 team mates an average of 0.7-1.2 are present and I’m hosting a 3.0+ it’s pretty clear I’m quickly going to become the target while my team is farmed, which I’m game for a challenge but emphasis on challenge, not a team shot battle where I’m constantly alone because my team mates are dead more than alive and I’m constantly in 1v4s against 2.0s. It just ends up becoming a spawn trap mess where one side gets farmed not even able to fight back because people are getting killed before their feet touch the ground in animation, like how can you reasonably tell me it’s fun to play matches you can’t play? Because I’ve got more than a fair few clips of spawning in plain sight of an enemy only to be killed before the spawn animation even allows me to move. In fact one of my favorite was I peeked a corner and got sniped, sure fine enough, but it wasnt on that o got respawned instantly literally only a meter from where I just died straight in line of sight of the same sniper, fortunately he missed the second shot. Now don’t get my wrong I have Redrix report, I’ve gone negative in matches, I’m not avoiding that, but I stay positive far far more, I’m just not game to sit there and be spawn farmed because of one sided lobbies. I would rather have a tough match where it’s like 148-150 than 90-12 or 47-139 or whatever nonsense. I’d also like to point out I don’t normally stack either, in fact I’m rarely with more than 2 other people for crucible. 90% of my matches are likely solo play. And bungie also openly admitted that over 50% of matches were predetermined due to massive gaps in skill, and depending on how those teams were split up, you ended up with matches where one side has less than a 8% chance of winning. It’s been a statistically backed point for awhile now that matchmaking was in a very unfair spot, where even if you are good, you can get heavily punished against lobby balancing. I don’t know how this season will play out with changes, but the long and short of it is I understand why people leave QP matches, the system has been in an increasingly unfavorable position. I wouldn’t even be opposed to a bracketing system to create more even matches. But lastly I want to point out that I don’t want it misconstrued that I’m saying oh “my team mates are bad” I’m not an elitist, I am well aware and I tell other high skill players that averages exist, you wouldn’t be considered good if everyone else was just as good, then you’d just be average. I’m top 3% because the other 97% exist. What I’m talking about is lopsided lobbies where team average can have an average of over 1.0 difference between teams, and that is a problem. Wether you are at the top of the bottom, that doesn’t feel good. I haven’t spent much time outside of mayhem To get a feel for it yet since mayhem is my favorite pvp mode atm (cracked top 500 last season for a short bit) but control has always seemed very unbalanced.

9 通の返信It’s control. It doesn’t matter. It shouldn’t matter. That’s what everyone in these forums preached for months to get SBMM. Why does it matter 😂
-
4 通の返信I’m game. That way the playerbase in control drops so quick and hard that sbmm with gets removed.
-
9 通の返信Until the game is playable I’m going to leave every match that has poor connections or players with poor connections. Also you really out here crying about who leaves a game? It’s that important to you?

12 通の返信BoyarDにより編集済み: 8/29/2022 5:28:29 PMWhen I get put with teammates that are no better than bots, while I can't even get out of my spawn without being teamshot, I would rather start a new match. If it's already to the point of almost being a mercy why stay? It isn't even close to enjoyable. SBMM hasn't done anything but make matchmaking worse. Sure the people I play against are better but I don't get teammates who are even half competent. Not to mention the crappy connection Until there is stack protection and map voting, I have no shame leaving quickplay matches. Edit: Also getting put into matches in progress. Joining a game against players who have heavy and supers while you get nothing? No thanks. At least people who join in should get some super progress or benefit of some sort

2 通の返信Been like that since a while. Its most frustrating when it happens in comp. Yet they get away.

5 通の返信Why stay in a PVP your losing and have it negatively impact your KD. This is was happens in SBMM. Deal with it, y'all wanted this. (Side Note: The connections have been trash lately, so it's probably being getting kicked by a member of the bungie animal kingdom.)

2 通の返信Tbh pvp is dead in the water man. So many legendaries that outclass exotics by a mile. They only thing bungie cares about is pve cuz that’s where they make the bulk of their money. I loved pvp with a passion in D1 but D2 never had that spark. Too many crybabies in the player base.

12 通の返信No, it’s because of skill-based matchmaking. Sorry I don’t want to play as a solo against a laggy six-stack from turtle nemeis or lighthouse daddies every single match because apparently that’s all Imm allowed to match now. I will be leaving that game.
