Game constantly crashing [steam]
After installing the game it keeps crashing after about 15 minutes. Doesn't matter if it's in the tower, patrol, story mission. The game has been reinstalled to try and fix it, still nope. When checking the log shows the application error (image attached) 0xc0000005. The game is essentially unplayable.

1 返信Same issue here and getting the exact same error code in event viewer. I'm running a pretty clean installation of Win11 (full clean install about half a year ago) and Destiny 2 is the only game that runs into this issue for me. Here are some of the things I've already tried - Full reinstall of Destiny 2 (even on a different drive) - Verifying game files (I'm using Steam) - Clearing the Bungie cache - Reinstalling and downgrading the GPU driver - Resetting the in game settings to default - Turning off the Game Mode setting in Windows - Disabling the Xbox game bar - Running some diagnostics (`sfc /scannow`, `chckdsk` and Windows Memory Diagnostic) The game works perfectly up until it randomly crashes, I've had it crash at least 5 times now but I can't seem to find a pattern. I've crashed in the Tower, in the HELM and I've crashed multiple times on Mars doing random activities (I've even crashed while AFKing). Here are my specs, maybe it can be of assistance: CPU: Intel Core i9 12900K GPU: RTX 3080 Ti TUF-12G-GAMING RAM: Corsair DDR4 Vengeance LPX 2x16GB 3600 Motherboard: MSI MAG Z690 TOMAHAWK WIFI DDR4 Power: Corsair RM850x (850W) Storage: 1TB Samsung 980 Pro, 3 TB in HDDs (game is stored on the M.2 drive) OS: Windows 11 Pro

I was also experiencing this issue. The problems arose today. I was initially able to get in game and play briefly, but it froze during the load of an expedition mission. Afterwards, I was unable to get past the title screen. The game either froze during loading at the title, or on boot, or when attempting to load my character list. It's a soft crash, the application hangs but the system is not entirely unresponsive. I am able to use my second monitor to spawn the task manager, shift it to the second monitor, and close the program. On a single monitor system this crash would be unresolvable without a logoff or restart. I noticed Nvidia has released a hotfix for the driver version I was on, but I also noticed they have also released a more recent driver version (516.94, which I presume has the hotfix rolled into it,) so I have updated my drivers. I also did a reinstall of the game as well on Steam. This issue appears to have been resolved. I suspect the reinstall was premature and the issue was driver related. I recommend - if you are not on them already - to have a look at Nvidia and grab the most recent drivers and see if they fix it for you as well.

For [b]Nvidia[/b], I found, a patch came out a few weeks ago that was oddly never announced. [b]I have no clue what the solution could be for an AMD GPU having the same issue[/b], but this was the solution for me. I am having constant crashing ever since updating this morning. Ran memory test, reinstalled GPU drivers and the game, verified files in Steam, lowered settings, all of the generic test you would normally run. Still can't play longer than 10-20 mins without it crashing. Just bought some DLC as well, probably going to just refund it if the problem continues a few more times.

Very much the same case here. Every other game runs a dream (including more demanding titles than Destiny 2) and it just seems to keep crashing and causing any videos in my web browser to crash when playing. No other games do this when I play them.

I also have the same issue! There are many things that could arise: Livekernelevent 141 Destiny2.exe itself stopped responding nvlddmkm (nvidia driver) stopped responding and recovered which leads to direct crash to desktop, no error codes Broccoli error codes have tried fresh installs etc etc etc, dropping settings and everything except a reinstall of windows. No other issues on any other software component whatsoever. Do look into this issue!
