Seasonal activities and story stuff, but I’m done with pinnacle grind. It’s stale and not worth the effort. Cheers.

Just do the things you want to do. Chase God rolls. Chase too tier armor. LFG endgame content you want to do. Craft weapons (there are some super dope ones now, austringer and mini tool to name a couple). I like to try and get PvE God rolls of every weapon and toss the rest. Pretty fun for me. But Pinnacles? Not worth it to me anymore. But some people play this game SPECIFICALLY for the grind, and many of those people have been here since D1 (like me, I'm just too old to do it anymore), so we.csnt just ignore that.

2 通の返信The entire seasonal model is bad. I always play for like a day or two right when a season launches after work and thats it, i'm done and only log in on tuesdays after for my 20 minute drip fed story bit. That's way worse than content droughts in my opinion. Some dev recently mentioned that content droughts are almost eliminated and with such enthusiasm and in such a positive way that i just thought "my guy you do realize for what price right?" It is not a positive thing by any means to not have content droughts. Players feel obligated and forced to never take breaks (breaks are healthy and make you excited for new stuff again), it creates FOMO and in general burns players out. This hamster wheel is falling apart. Atleast for me. Just give us DLC instead of seasons again, let us actually play the way WE want and WHEN WE want. If it stays like this, myself and many others i know will just entirely lose interst. We already don't play almost at all anymore.

17 通の返信TheShadowにより編集済み: 8/25/2022 12:31:21 PMThis is why Activision leaving was a bad thing. At least we were getting decent content to bear with some of the boring repetitive grind. Bungie on their own hasn't come up with anything unique. 90% of their content has been basically copy and paste work that makes the grind boring as hell and it's part of the reason I rarely play now. I thought developers were supposed to improve the game they are creating to improve the experience of playing whatever game. Bungie doesn't do that, in fact, they have literally been looking for ways to do the complete opposite other than years later adding basic features to use as bait. This may not be the best example, but No Man's Sky, the developer is actually trying to improve the experience of playing the game. This isn't about whether anyone likes the game or not, it's about the effort that is actually being put into the game to improve it. The updates have significantly improved things, while Bungie which is a well-off business is only putting in minimal effort, and only doing things when it's a benefit to them. If Bungie was actually trying to improve the game the grind in the game might not be so bad, let alone boring as hell.

2 通の返信Maybe you're just playing the game wrong? Dont do all your pinnacles and seasonal challenges all in a day or 2, drags it out and doesn't get boring because then there's always something to do

2 通の返信Correct. I haven’t worried about pinnacle grind for well over a year, and it makes the game much more fun. Now I focus on unlocking blueprints and crafting cool weapons, getting high stat armor and unlocking transmog ornaments to perfect loadouts and their looks, and recently focusing on titles. I don’t raid much, I do the easy ones if they have armor I wanna transmog and that’s it. It’s a very laid back way to play and it’s nice.

1 返信Absolutely agree. Hate to say it, but I’d pay money for GM level as that’s where I spend most of my time when they become available. I detest bounties and switching guns, builds, and activities constantly to complete them is so tiresome. Once I hit GM level I stop doing bounties and seasonal challenges altogether. Can’t stand it.
-
The pinnacle grind is the number one turn off for me. I wouldn’t mind it much if it was linked to the activities you like to do. If you want to play Crucible then you should be able to get all your pinnacle rewards by playing crucible. Same with Gambit, Strikes or, if you’re like me, I want to earn my pinnacles by playing the new seasonal content. Not stuff I’ve done thousands of times before.

2 通の返信Too bad bungie thinks fomo and idolizing streamers is the key to a great game instead of investing in what was great core mechanics/gun play and fantastic power fantasy and attainable aspirational content (d1 style raids and mechanics) Let the same ten people solo the raid ....oooohhh aaahhh.

1 返信Ido Xにより編集済み: 8/26/2022 1:29:05 AMThe whole game needs to be moved to the DCV... That's where the put things they are going to "fix"... Isn't it? Wait, no... That's where they move them to charge you over and over for old content that we already paid for. Screw Lightfall. They even had to give people an OP auto rifle to sucker them into buying it. All of Crucible, Gambit, Cross-play was horribly implemented and it's a lagfest. Strikes are extremely boring. There is 0 reason to do them. I miss the D1 days where you could farm strike legendaries. RIP Grasp of Malok. Only content somewhat good are dungeons and raids and they get old really fast. Maybe D3 needs to pass on to a better life. The digital afterlife...

3 通の返信Take a break and come back when you genuinely want to. Seriously. Only do what you want with it. Tell yourself ahead of time that you *don't* need everything in the game, and that should stop fomo. The purpose of games as a service is that they'll still be there when you wanna come back.

3 通の返信Refrigerator Jaxにより編集済み: 8/25/2022 1:27:00 AMLove how there's tons of powerful and the prime all 1570 which is useless Makes 95% of the game your playing just to dismantle what you get. I'm done with it especially after getting so much repeated stuff on all 3 last season, the duplicates I was getting was just depressing and ended up Gunsmith rank 10 because of it. I have not even started the activity because it just say powerful gear. So I'll just dismantle as always.

4 通の返信1 repetitive weekly thing for pointless stuff, and endless repetitive same old stuff for yet more pointless crap. Im so tired of this seasonal model with the check boxes and the bounties, and the cool looking ornaments (which are also pointless) being in the 90s of the season just so you haave to play enough or pay. And people say take a break. I dont even play anymore

Creativity in this game is 6 feet below the ground. A dead corpse. It’s like the game design of this game has been made by a guy who doesn’t know how to make games at all. And it is deliberately applied into the game. You can feel it with the rewards having the same multiple drops on the same slot. Like one season, you get all gloves and primary guns. Next season you get all helmets and heavy weapons. It’s so obvious game feels like a joke! This has gotten worse since Activision left. The corpse of creativity has been exposed that you could instantly sense the guy who designed this does not know how to make games and has no clue how to make one. It’s so boring I wouldn’t even call it gaming. Creativity is dead. They can’t even create new content, they have to recycle old content from an old version of the game over 5 years ago. Dead ideas coming out from these guys. I wouldn’t put my money on them whatever they come up with. I mean even their next super they call Strand is Spiderman! When I saw it, I was laughing down in my butt on the floor. They grapple and swing like Spiderman! Like I said, Creativity is Dead!
