Well, the new Subclass was teased today… thoughts?
___________
I’m seeing some mixed reviews in the comments, so I created another poll to see whether players like the new Super Abilities for their Class.

12 通の返信Ferus Luxにより編集済み: 8/23/2022 9:07:41 PMFrom a lore perspective, im so glad they didn't cave to the dull unimaginative requests for a poison subclass 🤢 Strand is the logical next step and our Stasis communion and understanding of it as sequencing matter into crystals and using Deepsight to peer beyond, led us to it.

11 通の返信Ngl everything except Calus felt like it came out of nowhere for Lightfall. Neptune was mentioned like once in a lore tab, there are no recent mentions of a successful Exodus fleet, and Strand is coming out of nowhere. Unless Neomuna is the pacifist Jovian colony Efrideet went to, or if its where the Factions ended up after Splicer, it currently feels like an unnecessary addition at the 11th hour. At this rate we'll be dealing with Xivu and the Witness at the same time in Final Shape

Doesn't look like my mind of jam. I can see the movement being a problem in pvp, and expect it to be janky at best in PvE. Don't see why I'd use it over anything else unless it was necessary. We've only seen a glimpse of it though so...

Looks interesting but no opinion on it will matter until we see how it synergizes with gear, aspects and fragments. As far as Hunter is concerned, it's a cool looking movement set but doesn't look to be any more versatile than Arc staff as a super. Seems like it might just be another roaming super. so I'm not that hyped for it until I see how actual builds will make it viable for endgame. This is why even after Arc 3.0, I still don't care to use it because out of all the things Arc needed, they still didn't give it enough survivability for the hardest content. So I'm just not gonna bother touching it because that's the content I really want to enjoy playing.

17 通の返信I stick to Light subclasses. Both because of believes and identity. I am not a fan of stasis, will also not be a fan of strand. Everything darkness related has already -50 points sympathy for me.

11 通の返信It looks and seems cool, but it feels.. out of nowhere, thematically at least. Suddenly there's just some green threads that connect everything, that exist everywhere? And they don't really resemble anything we've seen, nor exist as a Darkness version of existing subclasses? Dunno about that one. Feels like it's made to fit the bright, neon city aesthetic of the new destination, rather than exists on it's own.

It seems kinda odd. I was gearing up for something completely different than what we got, not bad different but just different. They went the Deepsight route and colored it green instead of the hive magic route. Hidden city in a gas giant has been done before (Jupiter Ascending is a terrible movie with an amazing set-piece finale), and I don’t know how to feel about our volunteer counterparts. (They’re giving me preachy Fern Gully vibes instead of D1 Awoken vibes, hope I’m wrong). From the little releases along side it, warlock is like a summoner, Titan is a rampaging dual-blades main, and hunter likes tying people up. I can get behind it, but if feels (just like everything else in the reveal) that it came out of basically nowhere…
