Someone hit the nail on the head earlier. As a warlock main (been smashing hunter out lately tho) I read the titan & hunter Arc 3.0 and thought "hell yeah" but when I read warlock, it was just disappointment. Warlocks got the biggest buff for Void 3.0, the utility I can pull off using freakin Necro Grips in none GM/Master raid content is nuts and I still even just use em in some end game stuff simply just because. Titans lost Void 3.0, it made me sad that banner and bubble are pretty meh now. Solar, once classy goes (similar to hunters tbf) loses a big option for solo flawless/end game (fusion nades). Sunbracers is fun and all but its pretty damn hard to pull off a powered melee kill in a GM with warlock kit. Titans and Hunters can maintain much higher Radiant uptime than Locks. Overall, hunters & titans came out about even here. Arc 3.0, honestly, just makes me want to change main. I've got a few build ideas already (the obvious ones like crown & stag) but from what it reads, we're basically restricted to Arc souls. Ionic traces? Everyone gets those. The melee thing? Why? Yes, I'm in a GM and I want to teleport into a bunch of Ads. yep, makes sense. Pvp? lol ok Just the aspects of Titans and Hunters alone have some crazy synergy for pvp & pve, this is without even seeing fragments, which will probably just be more of the same (extra jolt/chain dmg, ionic traces doing extra stuff/enhanced speed or enhanced ability regen or whatever). Ignoring seasonal artifacts is important because they don't show the overall strength of the class as a whole, its just restricted to 1 season. So yeah phoenix dive, while gutted, is a quick way to access classy but once thats gone, noone will use it unless it gets a cd reduction as its vastly inferior to rifts, other than activation time Edit: On reflection I've been a bit narrow minded with relation to the changes, this was a first impression on reading the change so I'll reserve proper judgement for release

you have to buildcraft around abilities which makes the shooter more like an rpg which sucks. but it is what it is. outside of master raid and master dungeon you can just ignore it. but its a shame they removed blessing and replaced it with an autoaim nobleseeker. and airborne playstyle sucks. AE sucks as well. and i wish i could replace dawnblade with blade barrage or titans solar super in pve, because it sucks completely. i loved pre-revamp solar warlock without a build or exotic. it did work because the game was focused on gunplay. but now its just boring. i cant eat void grenades anymore. i have less melee options and i can not squeeze solargrenades anymore.

We wont know anything till we play it and figure out where all 'hidden' nerfs are, and how everything works together. I'm a Warlock main as well btw. After a season rollercoaster of solar 3.0 nerfs, buffs, secret buffs, etc. I come away feeling kinda ok about it, but so much changes each season now having ANY expectations for next season is just setting us up for disappointment. Don't get me wrong, when the dust settles I will likely be posting short novellas on what needs change and why. I just hope the new season is not another invis hunter pvp meta....

I see way more dawnblades than spectral blades in pve or pvp. So worst super? No. And not to mention nova warp got a huge buff in pve before void 3.0 launched. Spectral blades are still useless

They probably removed Trans because we have a Helm Exotic that grants full everything without needing fully Energy to do so. But yes, arc web. Also, Arc Locks DNT get Health Regen now at all... But Titans do.. makes no sense.

Maybe give it a try next week and see how that turns out for ya 😊

Warlock arc will always be hot in pvp, always has , always will

When all is said and done I don’t think it will be worse than what we have now in arc 2.0. But that will only be because of how mixing and matches elements of old subclasses works in 3.0 and the new verbs. But unless this new melee ability proves to be absolutely cracked, we ark locks just don’t seem to be improving nearly as much. Now maybe that’s because we were already in a better place. But I don’t think any Hunter or Titan main read what a Warlock is getting and felt a shiver run down their spine at the thought of a seeing a new arc lock in a PvP lobby. And IF the new melee ability is cracked it will get nerfed so fast. Probably even over tuned in the other direction that no arc lock even uses it any more. But aside from that, the ability reads more like a Titan ability than a Warlock one. I almost wonder if they made it for the Titan and then went “ahhh nuts. We didn’t do anything for the Warlock” and just gave it us Warlocks instead. But maybe I’m wrong and in some comic book somewhere Emperor Palpatine did Sonic-spin dash into enemies. So it perfectly feeds into that power fantasy. lol Warlocks already are always sliding into enemies. We did it all the time in Stasis. … oh wait, that was Titans. lol

Transcendence is needed to make the super actually worthwhile in PvE. If it turns out like Dawnblade 3.0 did, Stormcaller 3.0 is going to also be trash.
