The mechanics on this game are backasswards. Shouldn’t there be at least some level of “skill”? I got killed by a dude in trials who wasn’t even looking at me. Shotguns bruh! Don’t even get me started on melee. Something tells me the Bunglazy has let PvP get too far gone. They’re never gonna fix this tihs. For the apes it’s great, but I remember a different time when skill mattered - now it’s how fast you can stand your look speed.
Edit: most likely lag. Plenty of questionable encounters happening tonight. Shooting people and them not taking damage. Then I die by some questionable thing. Then the damage I did shows up. Etc etc etc. I guess I blame shotguns for everything 🤷🏻♂️

3 通の返信People need to stop circlejerking about how much they hate HC/Shotty. The only major shotgun that sucks is LoW and its getting the axe. Shotguns with Omni were kind of oppressive but that's ALSO getting the axe. Not to mention omni+fusion was just as shitty to fight. NTTE is the strongest primary in the game right now. Horror's least and Piece of mind are S tier weapons. We are in a pulse rifle meta. Snipers can shoot through flinch with ease at any range. The only safe play against a sniper in higher end pvp is to give up the lane, which might not be a death but it's still losing the engagement by giving up ground.

Shotguns aren’t even that good. Lol, honestly I think besides some exotics (Lord of Wolves, Chaperone, and Duality) they are pretty mediocre outside of incredibly close range maps, and easily the worst of the three main specials (Snipers, Fusions, Shotguns). Fusions do everything they can do more consistently and in more situations. If you’re constantly dying to shotguns, try moving instead of standing still. Create distance, use something like a sidearm, SMG, or fusion to kill them way before they even get close. I honestly think the only way I could die consistently to shotguns would be if I played 6v6, the map was Anomaly or Cauldron, and I was running a scout and a sniper 😭

They require up close and personal and thats something I feel is more than enough, shotguns used to be able to easily melt anyone up to 9 meters. With how fast players can move in the game, shotguns broke balance. Now shotguns are at their best at around 4-5 meters and thats exactly where they need to be. Now if bungie can do something about fusions and snipers getting kills through flinch, that would be great.

2 通の返信Pellet shotguns are really bad right now. Extremely inconsistent and the game basically punishes you for being mobile; Sliding increases the spread and being in the air decreases the accuracy. If you're [i]still[/i] having trouble playing against shotgun then that’s a you problem. Learn how to play against them and stop complaining about things that aren't a problem.

5 通の返信It's impossible to enforce a cheater-free PVP environment with peer to peer networking. I maintain that cheating is far more rampant in PVP than we know, or that Bungie wants to admit. It's such a huge problem they've resorted to going to court to fix it! Imagine how screwed PVP is when they can't fix this by just coding, and have to instead pay lawyers thousands of dollars an hour! So when I see "lag" or "questionable" things I just chalk it up to cheaters.

Shotguns are strong, but they're not the only viable option. Poor melee registration and the tendency to "teleport" when meleeing is a tad annoying, but it's not the end of the world. Interesting that most players would probably complain that melees need improvement, and I don't think anyone else is calling for additional nerfs to shotguns.

2 通の返信Same thing in destiny 1. People crying about pvp Bungie and shotguns. Why do you think we ended up with the double primaries? So when did skill matter? You posted after playing pvp. That's the issue. Pvp obviously makes a lot of players Frustrated and angry.

If you stay far enough away that their shotguns do no damage, you can mow them down with a primary. If they try to close the distance on you they are dead. What alternative do you want? Year 1 double primaries where everyone teamshots and you die 2-3 times faster?! Shotguns at least cause people to run around by themselves. That leads to you not getting instant killed by 3 Mida Multitools.

There’s literately no primary gun skilled involved in this game it’s basically bomb -blam!- abilities and then charge with your sniper shot gun. When this game took skill people just hid behind ice breaker. Skill and destiny doesn’t mix.

1 返信Pretty sure a majority of shotguns are at their lowest usage. Doesn’t mean they can’t be used often but most other specials beat em currently I think.
