For the people complaining about too much ability spam and cheesy weapons in PvP…
How about a playlist at the opposite end of the spectrum to Mayhem?
LOADOUT
Collect a loadout from Shaxx. Loadout must be equipped to enter the playlist. Loadout is locked while in the playlist.
Abilities regenerate more slowly. Focus on gunplay. Weapons are balanced (same weapons for everyone).
Opportunity to encourage players to use off meta weapons and unusual weapon combinations, without being at a disadvantage.
Opportunity to bring back old weapons that don’t get used anymore.
Worth a shot?

I would love this. I have played a lot of shooters over my years but those games all focused more on just generic gun play and I have always had a hard time adapting to abilities so I have never really excelled in the crucible. I for one would love a game mode like this and it would certainly help me feel more at home.

1 返信I would play it. Back before we knew anything about Destiny, I thought this would be more the route Bungie took with pvp, just like with Halo. It would be refreshing to have a more balanced experience.

Just make Halo but don't call it Halo. Make everything legendary mode permanently and I will give it a week before the community beg for abilities to come back. Pvp would actually be balanced and no more super jumps or powers, just guns. As much as I love powerfantasy I would give anything to see the community squirm for its lack foresight or ever learning at all.

1 返信I've been wanting a weapons only mode in D2 for years. I remember back to C.O.D. though I forget which one, but they called it barebones, nothing but you and your weapon skill and it was a pretty great mode. I think I could get behind super slow ability regen if a middle ground needs to be met though.

1 返信Remember some fun times in other pvp games with stuff like this, “Snipers Only” “Handguns Only etc etc. Doubt Bungie would do it though as need to either unlock every weapon for everyone or shrink the weapon options to a very few that everyone has already earned . The weapons then need to lose any perks, masterworks or mods so they are exact same stats . Armor could be same no abilities , shields, bubbles, barricades, invisibility etc everyone same stats, amount of HPs and movements/jump . Definitely no regeneration or bonuses between teammates.

4 通の返信the first thing bungie needs to do is remove the ability to start the match with special ammo.. make it like destiny1.. you have 1 special crate around the map and you have to fight for it. when you die you lose the ammo and have to wait for another crate... 2nd the abilities.. they need to have a longer cool down

4 通の返信Remember prestige raids having a forced loadout... why not a weekly PvP rotator like that. I might actually play PvP for more than an easy weekly pinnacle

1 返信It's a damn good idea and simply demonstrates the depths to which Bungie has sank. One load out, rotating daily or weekly... [i]How[/i], has this not been implemented yet? Instead, we've got whatever it is we've got, I stopped trying. As stated elsewhere, this was more in the realm of my idea of Destiny pvp. An actual playlist. Kinda hard to cry in an even playing field.

I think that would be great, but they would still have to balance their weapons. The range on guns is beyond stupid fall off damage doesnt seem to be there. Pvp has been so -blam!- up its pathetic how they've handled it. But still top shelf idea!!! If they did it I'd try it out. As it stands I do my bounties for my bright dust and I won't touch it for the next week. Just like gambit.

2 通の返信I may not like PvP in any aspect of it, but I downright don't agree to being forced on a loadout that is not meant to have it. People will want to run what they want, and this would be a no to me.

5 通の返信This game is a space magic game that is what makes it special. If u want gunplay go play halo. I think bungo should just go off the deep end with abilities and supers. Let's go back to season of the drifter and let us have really fast super regen and really strong supers and abilities. That is when pvp is the most fun, not when u have to run crap meta weapons at all times to have fun.

5 通の返信New modes like this might be fun, if only PvP was playable without lagging.. At this point, my suggestion to Bungie is to get rid of their PvP team and just copy paste CoD. It seems this approach will make more sense and it is cheaper

7 通の返信You mean team scorched? Seriously idk with so many write this mode off, sure it seems silly at first but what it comes down to is your mastery of movement, judgment, and depth perception. There is no abilities, everyone has the same gun, stats, builds, and exotics don't matter.
