In a game, especially like Destiny, a classes “identity” can ebb and flow. There was a time when I identified Titans with the Ward of Dawn. But then Titans kept getting roaming supers and the WOD’s defense was nerfed so hard nobody was using it. WOD had become a joke and was no longer really what anyone thought of as the “identity” of a Titan any more. That kind of changed again when WOD got a weapons of light buff, and then again in Void 3.0 where it feels more like what you think of when you think of a void Titan’s super. There may have been a time when the in air dodge made sense to Bungie for Titans. But they’ve since felt differently on how they view that style of movement for a Titan. They prefer Titans advance movement come by way of a Titan hurling their entire body like a weapon in a direction. Which to be honest sounds much more “Titan”. But that also doesn’t mean this too won’t one day change. And maybe Twilight Garrison still doesn’t come back, but Titans get an on demand dodge/dash ability some other way.
