The green goo stops right by the fountain with a deepsight. I scan the deepsite and another pile of debris shows up but I'm unable to scan it. I know this is the spot since I had a website up to follow directions. I haven't even reached the Queen's Bailey location yet.

If the deepsight started in the floral canal then I believe you may be able to go straight to the Bailey entrance after scanning one, and not the one by the fountain. Please give it a try and see if you can scan the second one inside the doorway of the tunnel.

Thanks! Strangely enough that worked. It's weird though that it leads totally opposite of where it needs to go. I did get the qualichor for the day.
