Throw Lake of Shadows, Arms Dealer, Inverted Spire, Insight Terminus and The Devil's Lair into the DCV.
Give us Pyramidion, Tree of Probabilities, Garden World, Will of the Thousands and Festering Core instead.

xbroggiexにより編集済み: 7/15/2022 12:35:23 PMSo vault... The EDZ, Nessus and the Cosmodrome to bring back... IO, Mercury and Mars? You realise that'll be 9 strikes removed to return 6 old strikes not to mention having to populate those old destinations with new content. Bit unrealistic imo. EDIT: Oh I forgot we'd also lose the Grasp of Avarice Dungeon, the 4 battlegrounds and the entire New Light experience for 6 old strikes.

Only strikes.

xbroggiexにより編集済み: 7/16/2022 1:20:12 AMVaulting said strikes would mean you have to vault said destinations otherwise you have zones taking up space for literally zero reason and also have literally zero content on them other than a few bounties. Not to mention the actual zones for said strikes would still be present in the game. Then unvaulting the old strikes means you need to unvault said destinations as well and populate those destinations with new content or all of its old content otherwise there is zero reason to bring them back.

Crucible maps are in their own separate bubbles, while strikes are intrinsically tied to the patrol space bubbles. The only 2 strikes that aren't tied to patrol space bubbles are Warden of Nothing and Devil's Lair I believe.
You can have the strikes without the destinations.
Which means they have to go in and completely update the starting zone in those strikes to again remove loading zones to other places and retool it completely which at that point is more effort than its worth just to bring back a few old strikes that'll get played occasionally maybe. You'd also be bringing back most of the destinations actual map space for starting zones for Mercury in particular and also Mars.
It really wouldn’t be that difficult or time consuming to bring back the older strikes.
To you it doesn't seem hard they "could just bring back old strikes". But they would also need to port those older activities into the newest version of their engine and retool the zones and if the assets aren't in the game readd the assets to the game etc. They literally would have the main chunk of mercury back in the game with readding the strikes and also most of its map space that people would question why it wasn't just completely unvaulted. Mars would have also its 2 main zones used for its strikes.

xbroggiexにより編集済み: 7/16/2022 5:26:18 PMNah, tbh they'd be made a joke with the current tool set we have available to us in the game RN. All of the crowd control in Garden World or Tree can be solved with some stasis turrets and also having burns and resilience changes will make them an even easier cakewalk. Not worth bringing back piss easy GMs to replace piss easy GMs.
Those strikes never had the opportunity to offer a GM version
Now this is actually a good reason, and I agree with this part. Also, I agree with the Festering Core part. But I think honestly its just not in the cards for Bungie right now. If anything the time you can expect them back is possibly after Final Shape if the decide to a 10 year anniversary of Destiny or if they figure out a way around the DCV via the cloud or something. But also those strikes were designed in a time when we had less abilities and mods so they'd really become a cakewalk sadly.

I don't recall saying anything about not liking Devil's Lair. Let's try this again. What do all these strikes have in common? Lake of Shadows The Arms Dealer Inverted Spire Insight Terminus The Devil's Lair
