I’m still waiting to see these fabled console cheaters I’ve been hearing everyone talk about so much.

Did a frame by frame. The time between the first and second shot was 0.41 seconds. The time between the second and third shots were 0.33 seconds. Max rate of fire would mean 435ms between each round. With latency, a 1/10 second difference isn’t out of line.

I wonder if maybe the reason you don't believe in console cheaters is because you rationalize anything short of flying around the map in god mode full-autoing unlimited gjallarhorn as "it's just latency." Obviously I could believe a shot or two seeming a bit out of time due to latency, but this lobby's connection was actually overall quite good and he was shooting this fast for most of the match.

I'd be interested to know what it would take to convince you that someone is cheating without you explaining it away as latency. Like yeah it's not as if there are cheaters in every lobby but they are definitely out there.

"A bullet" nah bro that was way more than one bullet. My point was that he, a 0.97 kd player, was able to compete with me, a 1.47, and my 1.9-2.0 kd teammates because he was [u]consistently[/u] shooting his gun around 25% faster than its max rate of fire. That's close to desperado levels of increased rate of fire, by the way.

Bro just watch the video, I've seen latency and that's not what that is. It's not like this guy hit one good snipe and I got salty and called hacks, he's literally shooting the gun too fast for extended periods of time and as a result almost beat a team with double his kd. Also, we still won the match (because my teammates were insanely good players), so no, this isn't an ego thing, he's just blatantly rapid-firing his austringer.

Stats almost always come up in discussions about cheaters. If you still think this is about ego, I'll freely admit that I'm not some amazing player, there are probably tens of thousands of players better than me and I lose to them all the time. I mentioned the kds to demonstrate how rapid-firing his gun allowed a negative kd player was able to compete with statistically significantly better players on almost even footing.

It’s just lag and doesn’t last long. It happens with any gun. Also, I’ve matches that guy before in trials. Just a few weeks ago in fact. Unsurprisingly, they weren’t cheating.
