I'm a casual. Extremely casual. I do 3 Gambit and 3 Crucible matches a week. The reason I only do 3 a week is very simple: It's not fun to get dunked on constantly.
I actively hate playing PvP in this game because I'm not a sweaty slide-shot shotgun, hand-cannon lover. Every time I step into PvP to even attempt it, I just get absolutely dumpstered.
I don't play this game for PvP, I focus on PvE. I'm garbage tier in PvP. Let me play against other garbage tier players like myself who also dislike PvP and don't like getting spawn killed by E-sports twitch players who play PvP 100+ hours a week.
Let me be incompetent around other incompetent people. I would love to participate in the absolute sh*tshow that it would spawn. Give me the clown makeup and red nose, I'll happily crawl into that clown car. Anything but the current system.
Not having a skill based matchmaking system in a pvp game mode is downright psychotic and sadistic.
Add it back.
Please.
Sincerely,
Cardboard Ranked PvPer

Unlike the other comments, I agree with you. I have to put so many bullets in to take out an opponent but usually get insta killed by someone before they come around the corner. I never win a one on one, ever. If not for the seasonal triumphs, I would not be in the pvp matches. They are never fun. Team scorched is the worst. My k/d is probably .0(something) but mathematically not a negative number. When I bowl or golf against accomplished players, there is a handicap system. With net scores, you don’t lose every game. The rare times playing similar skill players occurs, it is a good time. So you can argue for sbmm, but the majority of pvp players are good so sbmm is not wanted by them. Take comfort that the pve game is as good as ever and get into raiding. That is fun and satisfying. Friends are much more important than unknown pvp opponents. Thanks for posting, respect everyone’s opinion.

12 通の返信I feel ya. My friend and I went on a 25 win-streak last night and at least half of them were mercies. It just feels unfair and boring to constantly mow down low-MMR players who are still learning/ aren't improving much.

I would not mind sbmm back in the game am definitely a more skilled player then avrg. Or there must be more outliers protection. But it can not also be the way that there is such strict sbmm where the game becomes unplayable and I’m sure you can relate to this. If you play gambit or a strike and your good it can’t be that you’re always with teammate who afk farm and never play the game. Because they don’t want invest time in strikes. What I’m trying to say is that your score base in strikes is high mainly because you play it much, and the game try’s to make sure you get slowed down in strike progress this is why you get afk teammate’s. There has to be a middle ground somewhere right.. but I do get your stand on the topic

22 通の返信I think the good players don’t like it. It makes them realize that maybe they aren’t that good. I’m all for it, something needs to change. All the PvP talk from Bungie means nothing. They are doing an awful job and it has been this way for years. Of the twenty most used weapons in crucible 8 are hand cannons and 4 are shotguns. It has been like this for years. A stale old meta and shotguns have been nerfed what 4-5 times in the last few years? Anything else gets nerfed and it is never seen again. This comes back to the lack of talent and leadership over at Bungie. They have created a perfect storm of issues that they clearly cannot fix.

9 通の返信I tried this argument when I applied for NASA. They didn't hire me 😞 It's not fair. I just want the same rewards as all those sweatlord scientists who study 10 hours a day. Why do they get a good salary and I don't?

1 返信Translation: I don't want to put in the time to get good like the other players so I'm going to complain in hopes they make it easier for me. Which even If they enabled SBMM, it's no guarantee that you won't get stomped. I remember last time they enabled it, crucible became a sweat show and if you let down your guard or played casual or had an off day then you got stomped. Also you had to run metas because that's what everyone ran and if you didn't then you got stomped. Sbmm don't not necessarily mean you'll get easier matches especially if your not willing to play the game and develop your skills.

6 通の返信Every time sbmm gets introduced it ends up making PvP even worse. Besides if you’re only doing your 3 matches a week and not actually trying to improve then why cater to you?
-
It would split the player base and make queue times longer. All tho I feel your pain, its no bodies fault that you don’t want to invest in getting better at pvp. If you don’t try and get better expect the same results.

5 通の返信How about instead having 1 or the other, we a option too choose what type of matchmaking we want. I hated sbmm back during the NF meta days. It made me quit destiny for a while. I couldnt use fun guns outside the meta. If you didnt use dustrock-NF-wardcliff void stompie hunter, you would get stomped or even if you didnt the others on your team did. And dont get me started on how bad the connections where. Matching ppl from across the planet is not fun. Every match felt like a tournement. Iam happy with how it currently is, i can use my fun loadouts and not be deadweight to the team. Of course i still get the occasional sweatlords that stomp me and my team but atleast i can have fun. And the connection is stable most of the time

1 返信just play your 3 games and get off stop complaining their are so many othe rthings that need to be fixed before this

1 返信So you only play 3 games a week if that and you want sbmm on permanently? You’re a joke kid. You probably have a 0.5kd
