The problem is the identity crisis. With stasis and void each class had a specialized identity and their aspects and fragments catered and opened up build potential for for those identities while not simultaneously limiting the player to a linear playstyle. Any class could dip into each other’s play styles or focus on being good at one particular thing.
What’s the identity for each of the classes with Solar 3.0? You don’t even know do you?
Each class literally just does the same thing. Stack up scorch until things go boom. Use their melee to become radiant. Use their class ability to proc restoration.
This is the most -blam!- the classes have ever been and it SUCKS.
As a Titan did you think you were finally gonna get to build with something other than Lorely? Too bad because it’s still the best option for literally everything.
As a Warlock did you think you were gonna be able to build the best support and healing build ever? Too bad that entire identity has been completely gutted and no longer exists with no way to even build towards it again.
Hunter’s I don’t even know what to say. You went from only using golden gun for pve to now only using blade barrage? The subclass just looks meh to me.
Bungie, figure out what these classes are supposed to be good at and lean into it. Then give each the option to dip their toes into the other stuff. I don’t know how you went from having a plan with the other subclass(void and stasis) then just totally abandoned it with Solar but you need to get it straightened out.
YOU ARE A AAA DEVELOPER WITH HUNDREDS OF EMPLOYEES and frankly the entire community is tired of hearing the “we’re listening” followed by radio silence only for us to hear months later that the changes that are incoming don’t solve the key issues. YOU HAVE NO EXCUSES. Get it done

1 返信Spiraxにより編集済み: 6/6/2022 4:24:35 PMwarlock actually lost two identities one is the healing one which you mentioned ( bungie please give us methods to get restoration that dont include using a healing grenade and please dont give more cure cure is literally not even good) but it also lost the bottom tree explosion mayhem identity which was my favorite subclass tree in the game even after void but now we have the scorch and ignition system which is really wierd and its really hard to prock ignitions which is annoying and one of the most annoying things is that bungie is nerfing pve stuff just to make pvp better like making top tree two seperate aspects was definetly intended to control top tree in pvp but then as i said it takes up two damn aspects that could have been used for a better version of middle tree or something like bottom tree im just really dissapointed with how solar 3.0 has been

Bungie came up with a very clear niche for Solar subclasses in the game based on Damage-over-time (Scorch, Ignite), and Healing/Support Buffs (Radiant, Restoration,) Even to the point where you have perks that synergize with the changes (Incandescent). The issue is that you have people (I suspect mainly PVP players) who are just mad that the changes broke up their favorite builds, and they are unwilling to adapt to the changes. Warlock: Ability-based damage dealer (grenades, melee, directly applied Scorch). Healer/ static support player (Well of Radiance) with lesser emphasis on mobile support (Phoenix Dive). Hunter. Weapon based damage dealer (buffed weapon damage and performance) Mobile healer/support player. Titan: Blends elements of both with an emphasis on close-quarters combat. Ability-based damage dealing is short range and more static than with Warlocks. Support play is more static than with Hunters and more mobile than with Warlocks.

Yet they still require us to pay $20 for a half-assed dungeon, which to be quite honest, isn’t even worth doing unless you absolutely need the pinnacle drops. Missions are being reused and copy/pasted for the Sever missions (not that I really expected much with this, it’s a classic bungie move). There hasn’t been much new content at all this season. Very few guns, armor and mods that are new this season. And don’t get me started on this Iron Banner rework. It’s absolutely garbage. They have completely ruined rift, it’s nothing like the classic D1 rift that we all knew and loved. No new armor/weapons with this seasons IB. What’s really frustrating is the fact that we can’t even do bounties to help rank up the faction, like any other vendor in the game. Iron banner has been no where close to enjoyable like has been in previous seasons. I play for pinnacles, then quit playing. It’s not fun nor worth it after that. Hell, even the main part of this season, the “derelict Leviathan” is just a reskin of past DLC, weapons included. Granted I understand they are putting a new twist to the Leviathan using the nightmares and such (and don’t get me wrong, it is cool). But watching the trailer for all of this, really hyped this season up and it doesn’t live up to its expectations Additionally, I think Solar 3.0 has been nothing but a bust so far. I’d much rather use Void 3.0 than solar. PSA: I’m open to friendly debate, don’t bother bringing negative comments in, they will be ignored. Again, this is all based off my opinion. 😁

With Attunement of Flame, I was able to play in a way that suited me. I had firey magic, a healing dive to get me out of trouble in the air, a healing rift to fall back on if things got too tense. And as a firey goddess of death each kill kept my wings burning longer. Now everything that gave my character her identity has been stripped away, except for Phoenix Dive and Healing Rift, both of which were nerfed into the ground. It's just been too depressing to play.

1 返信Titan and hunter solar are fine. It's warlock that needs to be tinkered with. They focused it mainly around top tree (including 2 air aspects) and got rid of bottom tree things, which limits the class unlike the other 2.

12 通の返信You talking about class identity or subclass identity? If we’re talking about the former then your argument towards it is not so good. The old way of doing things around that are outdated. People should be able to build into specific roles without being locked to one class to do it. That is the best way forward. Onto the latter, the subclasses still have their identities. Void (debuffs and high burst damage), Stasis (zone control and ad clear), Solar (buffs, DoT and explosions). Arc is still unknown as to what role it will fill but I think it will probably be high burst damage,ability regeneration and blinding/concussion effects. Just my 2 cents though so take it as you will

2 通の返信I think it's fine or more then fine, and the update next week is gonna make it even better, identities? Gunslinger: well gunslingers 😅 gun focus and long range damage. Warlock: ability damage and with the update also healing Titan: punch 🤣 nah cqc Mayhem and tanking trough continuous healing

My off meta heat rises primary build was essentially deleted from the game I'm a very good pvp player who used and off meta playstyle on solar warlock that kinda was just about consuming my nade on straife glide for faster movement and near perfect in air accuracy I never touched the ground and I did this at a very high level just look me up but now my guns don't work in air I'm not sure why we were nerfed last I seen it was fusions void hunter and void titan ruining pvp I just want to be able to use these new abilities like the new drop down instead of a rift but unfortunately if I jump I literally can't hit anything or when I'm aiming perfectly I'm pretty sure on stat tracker my accuracy percentages were top 10 world if not 1# but I'm killing at 1900ms that ain't right Bungie I want a way to play bird like a bird on my bird character or I'm just at a disadvantage to literally everything most of my abilities dont even do anything on ground nor are they designed to so why can't I shoot while I'm in the air like wtf bro take this stupid bloom away and yes I know how how to sit on ground like a idiot in a stag rift or something but that is such a braindead noob way to play which requires 0 skill I want my skill bird back not these stupid wizard abilities

22 通の返信I agree Guardian. I have been a Solar Titan main UNTIL NOW. WTF Bungie??? Sunspots are useless IMO for my playstyle, and I have to throw a hammer for melee (ie: dude, where's my hammer gone?) as the [u]lag and ZERO hit registration makes it useless.[/u] Hammer strike is not how I play either as the screen blurs when forcing it to be active (I don't use Shoulder Charge and Shield bash for Void/Arc) and mobility is nowhere close to Hunter even at 100. Hallowfire Heart is 50% less useful than it was - no extra damage on Sunspots and having to run to melee or throw a hammer that ends up wherever it wants to. Heart of Inmost light cannot recharge abilities fast enough to reinvigorate extra damage making the Titan much less useful for damage or support fire. It seems that Titans are now the medics instead!!! I haven't even contemplated using my secondary characters as Solar is now even worse on Hunters and Warlocks. Apart from the mobility for Hunters and Warlocks, I seem to be running into more and more Arc/Void builds in PvP than ever before. [b][/b] Overall, D2 has been even worse since Beyond Light, and I have given D2 a good 2 weeks trying things out. Oh, and Overload Rounds STILL ON ARs/SMGs tells me how much you have listened. Bungie, IMO has ruined Solar Titans, and have now made PvE A REALLY LOUSY EXPERIENCE for Titans hoping Solar 3.0 would be better.

5 通の返信Just my take on it, and the biggest issues I see. This is also not me saying one class is best, just a comparison. I play all three classes. Solar 3.0 Super: Hunter- kept all 3, Titan and Warlock only have 2 now. Warlock- their main mobile offensive super takes 10 mins to charge (a little less if you have a high intellect) Melee: Hunter gets 4, Titan and Warlock only get two. Why not 3 or 4 options? Snap seems like a fun Warlock ability but I haven’t tried it much. Titan- I do like that you can pick between shoulders charge and throwing a flaming hammer. Class Abilities: Warlocks really take a dive in class abilities. They now have to pick between having a rift or phoenix dive. You used to be able to have a rift and PD if you picked that option. It was a great way to get out t of the way of incoming attacks, then heal yourself/team with a rift. I guess Warlocks will just drift around now. Titans have the same two barricades as always. Hunter gets an extra dodge then helps teammates. Fragments: Hunter can have up to 5 unlocked/ used at a time. Warlock and Titan only 4 at max. Why the difference? Also just IMO, with Stasis and Void I felt like I could see how the fragments worked in game. I feel like it’s harder to see in game play how they work for Solar 3.0. Overall it seems like Hunter did the best and has more of an identity. While Titans did ok, but Warlocks feel underwhelming and a little left behind. Anyways thanks for reading, just adding my take to the mix for what it’s worth.

1 返信Actually just watched a video of a solo flawless Duality dungeon run completed in 21 minutes as solar titan and never used Lorely helm. I think solar can now work with all different kinds a builds around several exotics. It really comes down to wells/mods and how you use them. I believe they call this style the Bonk Titan. It is not dependent around Lorely splendor at all. Sorry I am ignorant on posting links on this site, but his name Saltagreppo. Look him up youtube!

3 通の返信Know what I don't understand? Bungie says they wanted each class to have an identity, but then strip away that identity with each 3.0 update. Like, Void Hunters were all about that invis, and Void Warlocks were all about that Devour, but Bungie deemed it alright to strip away those features and give every Void class those abilities with Fragments? But then go right back to saying "Sorry Titans, we can't give you Twilight Garrison because Warlocks are the air dodgers now ROFLAMO". Like, HUH? Destiny classes aren't unique. You thought you made a Hunter, but you ACTUALLY made a Warlock whose cosplaying as a Hunter who secretly wants to be a Titan, who thought their Void grenades were getting faster regen but they forgot they were playing the Solar class and was using the Stasis Fragment Whisper of Shards Fragment. Even if Bungie somehow fixed this mess and made the classes [b]AND MADE THEM FUN[/b], they can't make the classes unique. They don't know how to.
