They're not catering to the Casuals. That's the problem. When you need to parkour over a basically darkened terrain with a fatal drop if you miss a bet...JUST to progress in a game content item you spent $70 for... Guess what, the "Ghost's Mission" is just that. If I wanted a platformer, I'd have bought Qubes or something like it.
Catering to the casuals is what ruined the game. The game has been watered down to the point where is veterans are left with a choice of playing the most boring and monotone -blam!- ever, or leaving the game.
Personally, I left the game for better games that have actual real difficulty, mechanical difficulty, and that challenge me as a player. I ain't gonna subject myself to the most boring thing ever to progress. Not to mention the negative progression every 3 months.
What should of happened is that in an ideal world, there'd be content for the veterans, and for the casuals alike, and that they wouldn't cater to one extreme, and instead, would design the game for players of every skill caliber.
Unfortunately, Bungo seems hell-bent on making this game as monotone as possible (imo) and furthermore, catering to one group of players (you can argue the casuals or the hardcore, depending on what group you ask), as opposed to making the game for players of all skill level.
