you're complaining about a pay to play game - a model that's used by a lot of other major gaming developers? if you don't want to pay, then you're not entitled to the stuff the rest of us paid for. You can either stick to the freeloading portions of the game, or if you are that dissatisfied, find another F2P that doesn't have a paywall

What about people who bought original destiny 2 played it then sat on shelf for years and when they try to start back or play again have to re purchase game for more than what they paid for first time and dont even get to do anything from original game purchase lol i myself was in those shoes last year and hated it

They were still called seasons and cost $10 each unless you got the season pass to get all of them. Same business model but they didn’t have the level up system. Same cost for more content in the same model. It’s a side effect of Bungie having High Moon and Vicarious Visions helping them develop content, but it still wasn’t an extra cost.

No, it was an annual pass Still had 4 separate seasons (with new activities, loot etc) & two Full Raids (Scourge & Crown) £35 at the time (2018 D2 Year 2) Cheaper then than the seasons are now (which don’t include Dungeons either)

It absolutely did not have four seasons. Black Armory, Joker’s Wild, and Penumbra/season of opulence were the 3 mini dlc’s that released which were just dubbed as “seasons”. As much as I dislike their current practices, this wasn’t much better aside from being an improvement on their typical annual dlc + 2 smaller. Aside from raids included throughout the year, “BA” only had a couple exotic quests and farming a few forge weapons to keep it afloat...”JW” was a hit or miss considering the focal point on gambit prime and its side activity/loop...which leaves Season of Opulence being the one with substantially more positive things to keep it relevant. I will agree that it’s unfortunate that we’re paying more for less regardless. I have noticed they’re going the standard mmo route when it comes to pricing; everything is overpriced therefore you purchase the special “deal”/edition to “save” on a lot of money.

If anything, you bringing up Season of the Outlaw further strengthens my point. That was literally just Forsaken. As far as raids go, that is dismissible considering my point was those two and Opulence were the only things that year really had going for it. Once again though, I agree when it concerns the price chances and Y2 being the best they’ve had so far.
