I know I'm beating a dead horse here, but I wish Nightstalker got a better rework for Void 3.0.
I've been playing all 3 of the Void subclasses, and Nightstalker is just so...boring, compared to Voidwalker and Sentinel.
All of its Aspects grant Invisibility, despite the glaring issues with it's effectiveness in PvE--issues that have been brought up constantly, long before Void 3.0. None of the Aspects help with crowd control, healing, damage reduction, or ability regen. They got rid of Heart of the Pack and Combat Provisions--2 things that were added or buffed when they reworked it for Nightstalker 2.0. Even the increased movement speed from Keen Scout, and the Corrosive Smoke ability from middle tree Nightstalker, are gone. For what reason did they decide not to include them?
Quickfall is a risky ability with little pay off. I would have preferred a second Smoke Bomb charge and increased duration, radius, and lingering damage. Trapper's Ambush could have been a good perk if it also allowed you to remain invisible when you melee enemies while inside the smoke bomb cloud.
Vanishing Step should have been reworked as Vanish in Smoke, with dodge making you invisible, and creating a cloud of smoke at the location that disorients/blinds and weakens surrounding enemies. The Invisibility on Smoke Bomb activation should have been added to it instead of Trapper's Ambush.
Stylish Execution would have been a great perk if it also increased melee damage against Suppressed/Weakened/Volatile enemies, and returned ability energy when killing them. It would at least justify that pointless "Too Stylish" cooldown.
The biggest issue is with Invisibility itself. It doesn't seem to work well half of the time. Some enemies will stop attacking almost immediately, while others will continue to attack the last location where you turned Invisible, or continue to follow your movements, shooting or chasing you until they finish their attack animation. It kinda makes Invisibility feel useless. They need to address that before basing an entire Subclass around it.

3 通の返信This post must be satire right? Bro I watched a video of a hunter going through the entire legendary campaign with ruinous effigy, dude uses the void balls to damage enemies in a huge aoe while remaining invis, while continuing to re activate devour after every invis kill while spamming grenades. Oh yeah and it's got highest damage super. If only warlocks could get some of that attention for pvp. 7 years on......not holding my breath.

1 返信Just give it a fourth Aspect that gives Heart of the Pack and Combat Provisions back, with 2 Fragment slots

I dont play hunter much but i agree that it feels lacking compared to titan and warlock. ive had a heart void build on my titan the whole season now and can clear waves upon waves of enemies with ease. One thing about invis tho is that it prevents enemies from targeting you, thats it. Any current attacks or shots will still chase you, just no new ones. Shriekers are the worst with this as you will still get beamed by them while invis because they havent finished their attack. just something you have to know and correctly predict.

There is a lot of use with nightstalker in pve, the invisibility is the cherry on top. Nightstalker is the assassin class, its not really flashy like warlocks or armor heavy like titans. You get in, and get out. The super in pve actually deals far more damage than nova bomb without the use of any exotic. So think of nightstalker as the assassin dps king. I personally love nightstalker, its good in pve and its cheesy in pvp.

1 返信Volatile flow is what makes the hunter class good. When that mod is gonna disappear next season, i think more people will notice how lacking the void 3.0 is (in pve)

7 通の返信Rayにより編集済み: 5/22/2022 5:12:45 PMI don’t understand the issue….? Hunters are literally all about quiver and invis, and they do it well You can be invis 24/7 since literally everything you do makes you invis. Great for end game content or solo content Quiver (this season) is by far the strongest super in the game due to devouring depths. Nothing really comes close Factor in devour and weakening, and you’re covered in all categories. Hunters have been talked about since the beginning of the season. They are insanely strong

1 返信I gotta say, as a hunter main, and mostly Nightstalker (at least until the Arc rework) I'm liking the 3.0 changes. Sure it's not one size fits all, but I think that's the whole point of it. Bungie wants us to build into classes and abilities, and with certain exotics and point distributions, this is what I have been doing, to great effect and enjoyment. Rigs, Omni, Gravaiton, 6th Coyote, Gwisin even Khepris can all be used to make a huge difference in play style if you build into it correctly.

2 通の返信Since day 1 nightstalker has always been about invis and using tether for dps or debuff. I just don’t understand why people want nightstalker to play differently than it has been the last 4-5 years. Play titan or warlock or other subclasses if invis/tether isn’t your cup of tea. They already removed some Good things from nightstalker stop trying to change its identity when it’s been clearly stated since day 1 what role that class plays

Tal'inonにより編集済み: 5/22/2022 3:32:20 AMI'm sorry my dude, but of the three, Titan has it harder than the other two. Yes, they can give overshields, but that got nerfed quick. Now 40 dmg overshields, woo hoo. Have you ever killed a fireteam member by dodging as a hunter? I have by dropping a barricade on my Titan, makes me feel like -blam!-. Have you ever killed fireteam member by dropping tether? I have with dropping ward of dawn. Not to mention the buff from WoD got nerfed hard, forced to use sentinel shield, that lasts maybe 5 while seconds with no one using the shield for damage buffs. I'm sorry, but you don't have the worst of it, stop.

Man I beg to differ, I use Graviton forfeit, max mobility and get 10 sec of invis. I can be invis pretty much the whole game if I never fired my weapon. Clutched a lot of NF's with this class. The revive crutch class. 😹

Hunt from the shadows. Pin them down. Never let them see you coming. - Cayde-6 on Nightstalkers Destiny has classes. The things you're asking for are things Hunters can't have, or at least not with the void element. Nightstalkers are great in Grandmaster Nightfalls. They play their part.

1 返信These are all great additions. For PvE. How would/could they be balanced for PvP, since we can't separate the sandboxes?

2 通の返信I mean, titan is pretty lame too. Oh, overshields! How exciting! Controlled demolition is kinda meh now that there is the aspect (or fragment I never remember) that makes enemies killed by void abilities explode. Volatile also makes controlled demo meh.
