It's becoming more clear that this was the plan all along , thinking Free To Play would give them a pass to monetize everything in the game
Wrong, they are not Warframe that has free permanent content , like New War which was a bigger expansion than Shadowkeep and Beyond Light , costed a whopping $0 , you can bet people don't mind buying cosmetics from them to support them
But if people have already payed you for the Deluxe edition of the expansion, and the years worth of seasons, and you still have your hand our for normally free lighthearted holiday events, then that's going to rub people the wrong way

The event is still free. The only thing you could pay for is the cosmetics package. The ftp model is just an appetiser to get people to play the game but eventually they have to make their money somehow.

Aren't the events free? If they were going to monetize everything in the game there's things I'd personally rather have them monetize. Like PvP. You'd go in there and do as good as you're supposed to do whether you're good or bad at it and then you'd get the prizes that you paid for. There would always be uniform shot registration and what would take place because of that fact would made easier to deal with through rewards. Wouldn't you pay for that if they monetized that? This what everyone else is talking about is just a $10 event pass for the people that have said they wanted more to play for during the free events.
