Please don’t tell me no one else didn’t catch that. The last thing this “free to play” game needs is more monetization

They did it for the anniversary and people fell for it. Also Skins... This is how the game industry turns inside out. Eating its own corn hole.

These greedy -blam!- are pushing their luck. If Bungie keeps this crap up, even their most indoctrinated, die-hard fans will stop supporting them.

Considering it's literally only a shader, ship, ghost projection, and a few emotes... Kinda grasping at straws here. Especially considering we know damn well it'd be more total if they didn't change the system. Only crappy part is the shader won't be for Bright Dust lmao.

Mintyにより編集済み: 5/20/2022 2:36:58 PMOoooookieeeee. Well. Been thinking about dropping the game due to price, then I see then add more $$ tags to it. Welp been a fun 6 years I guess

And now lets talk about when they said they were adding microtransactions to fund free events XD. Now free events are just full of paid items and the free ones are just "do bounties / collect stuff here and there to unlock the ugliest and unique cosmetic item tied to the event and bye bye"

Bungie has been going for a maximum monetization model since their “seasonal model” back in Black Armory. Is anyone surprised at this point?

It's becoming more clear that this was the plan all along , thinking Free To Play would give them a pass to monetize everything in the game Wrong, they are not Warframe that has free permanent content , like New War which was a bigger expansion than Shadowkeep and Beyond Light , costed a whopping $0 , you can bet people don't mind buying cosmetics from them to support them But if people have already payed you for the Deluxe edition of the expansion, and the years worth of seasons, and you still have your hand our for normally free lighthearted holiday events, then that's going to rub people the wrong way

I've spent thousands on this game and have no problem doing so ... as long as the game is good ... yes, I wish they'd fix the PvP matchmaking but the PvE in this game is pretty good. I'm probably going to spend $50 on silver on Tuesday as well, we'll see what content they have for us but yeah, it is what it is.

It’s for cosmetics! What’s the issue?!? Literally every other live services game does this. It’s all about understanding the dynamic and realizing that the cool stuff in game (cosmetics too) are what we earn from high end challenges and we rock that proudly. Paid for cosmetics don’t hold that same prestige, and that’s why this enhanced card doesn’t matter.

As a wise man once said, "If something is free, then you're the product". It's sad really, really sad that Bungo's greed knows no bounds. Oh well, it is what it is, unfortunately.

I mean, it’s just for some lousy cosmetics, yeah? I know bungie is probably gonna do it eventually, so I’m probably gonna regret saying this, but until they start putting weapons behind eververse I’m not really bothered by it. Bright engrams and bright dust gets me all of the cosmetics I need, no need to get upset over more paid cosmetics for people who care about that sort of thing.
