A good half the time, enemies do absolutely nothing but run away. I've lost count on the amount of dregs & acolytes I've had to run down for up to 100m, going from cover to cover, just to shoot a completely docile combatant in the back of the head.

8 通の返信No formal declaration of war against any of the alien aggressors, no "Geneva" convention drafted among any of the combatants, and I'll remind you, the enemies have canonically; Hive: Torn the Light from Guardians and turned them into crystals. Eliksni: Eaten human children. Cabal: Executed non-combatants and Lightless Guardians. Taken: SPOOKY. We are literally "Guardians", protecting humanity and The Last City. Zavala made a pretty big deal about us striking out in retaliation against Crow (and potentially the Awoken) before the Scorn on the Tangled Shore.

Rules of engagement under the Uniform Code of Military Justice states that if an armed combatant is fleeing while maintaining their arms (weapons for you noners) they are still to be considered as a threat and can be legally neutralized. Only when in the act of surrender or when in custody are they then considered protected under Laws of Combat.

1 返信By standards of human treaties, probably. But war crimes are a very specific topic. As other people have mentioned, there has been no meeting between city leadership and other leaders, except for VERY recently, to discuss rules of engagement. This war between humanity and it's enemies in the sol system has been war in it's most brutal, unregulated sense. The total war kind of war. The kind where the only winners are the ones left standing. Only recently has there been an expressed interest between humanity and the other races towards finding a peaceful solution, which would obviously result in those treaties and the like which would make certain things "war crimes" between the agreeing parties. But up until that point, all bets were off, and if you don't know the other party is going to hold back for the sake of upholding some treaty or international laws, it's best to go as hard as you can, because you can't guarantee that they won't.

Not only war crimes, but genocide. Specially against the fallen. Which is why it was so cringe the community's fake outrage over the FWC exo. Whatever her name was. Really low IQ when words trigger people more than actual simulated genocide of an alien specie.

JazzyPaladin477により編集済み: 5/20/2022 5:27:36 PMThorn, le monarch, and the poison warlock gloves all definitely classify as use of chemical weapons. Outbreak, grand overture and xenophage are definitely use of biological/biochemical weapons. Not sure how Geneva would feel about a chainsaw sword if they don’t like serrated or triangular bayonetes.

1 返信On more than 1 occasion I had an acolyte appear behind me and killed my character with ONE single melee in Lightblade GM... So, I say let them run.. Sometimes I do feel bad for the Fallen though..but the Hive..nope
