For me it starts with us having to call Saladin his new title but it’s deeper than that. We are god slaying guardians with an absolute litany of saved the world achievements… But we still have go on patrol for Fynch and we did for Spider. We still have to care about Catial and the Cabal despite slaughtering them with ease at every turn. I mean we’ve beaten Rhulk, Riven, we beat Oryx who decimated the Cabal at will. Why are we on this “ must be the foot soldier of weaker entities “ Especially in regards to Fynch or the do nothing NPCs of the tower. It’s always been there but this Saladin crap really drives it home. We never needed an alliance with the cabal based on what we have done to them in game through strikes, raids and missions, etc. It makes 0 sense.

1 返信People don't want to admit that the game made way more sense and had actual direction with Activision. There's a very obvious reason Bungie removed all of the High Moon and Vicarious activities first, even if they weren't the oldest. They lacked the skill to provide even basic maintenance for content that was developed by actual professionals. This is why we had to wait over two years for them to address the broken music boxes on Mars.

We are literally the trump card for the vanguard. Even saint knows that nobody survives stepping to the guardian. We should’ve been in charge ages ago. Especially now that we clapped Rhulk and savathun

Sure WE are that strong but the civilians in the city are not. But if we werent in an aliance with caitl... She has light disrupting weapons. AKA weapons that do the same thing as ghaul's traveler net. Ghaul had only that one ship...caitl has an armory full of the things.

6 通の返信Because as much as we can destroy the cabal empire, its not worth the effort. They are offering peace, are we really going to put effort to prove we are "better" because of pride? Besides, fynch is cool. The guy asked nicely, and so i did.

3 通の返信Just because we've murdered gods and legions of cabal doesn't mean we don't benefit from the alliance with the Cabal. Ciatl was telepathically asking Zavala if she could nuke the entire dreaming city because of the events with Savathûn during season of the lost. I mean, if you've got a lot of busywork with the lucent hive and the cabal are willing to help, why wouldn't you phone in the godslayer and send them in with the cabal?
I'm genuinely struggling to find the "disconnect"
I might be wrong since I'm not super lore heavy but I think the cabal we fight on a regular are different from the ones we work with. Like we don't fight catial's cabal unless they're deserters in which she encourages that or it's a past mission from when the alliance was coming to. I could be wrong though
