Halfway through the super the beam shrinks so much you can't hit anything further than 60m and just forget about turning to sweep up more kills. Absolutely gutted this super.

1 返信I remember using it long before it became a cancer in PVP. I loved how it was originally with geo mags. It was great to use on a Boss. I felt like Ultra Man fir a while. Hopeful they bring it back to its original glory when they revamp Arc.

3 通の返信This is something that happens naturally as we age, but they do make medication that can make that beam just like it was in your 20s. Obviously joking, but it is definitely a disappointment. I used to run Chaos Reach on three or four of the GMs to great effect. I'm holding out hope it will return to its former glory when we get Arc. 3.0.

Four years of it being just right, it was all of a sadden op. Lol. Just another example of pvp ruining pve. Top it off was even removed. Why?

The super takes about 3-4 ticks to kill players now, it used to only take 2 ticks to kill players. Bungie basically doubled the ttk on the super which is why its difficult to get many kills. Chaos reach does tick damage like stormcaller, stormcaller takes 3 ticks to get kills, 6 ticks on supers. Chaos reach takes 3-4 ticks on players 4-5 ticks on supers, the super used to do 3 ticks for supers. Basically, the super sucks. With no armor to help the chaos user alive on top of having no mobility, this is the reason why the super is garbage. Why bother trying to suspend myself trying to get 1-3 kills with this terrible ttk super when I can launch a nova bomb and benefit the same without having to stay suspended and having no armor to keep me alive? That last change was terrible and needs to be reverted. Chaos reach does NOT need to kill through walls but it sure as hell should also not take that long to kill targets. I can only assume the wall kills are gone simply because the super doesn’t kill fast enough anymore so players are able to get behind walls just fine and survive. This is why we need dedicated servers, so stuff like this doesn’t happen. Bungie nerfed this super because they are too cheap to fix their lag issue on pvp.

9 通の返信I wouldn't exactly say it is pathetic. You can kill both tanks in proving grounds strike or 1 of them in a GM with Chaos/Geomags.

I blocked this guy: @yabder-7, you crutch invis hunter with NTTE and Omni, I don't wanna hear it from you about being a meta crutch, especially with 46% on HC. if you truly are off meta - you'd use the worst in archetype weapons and dominate. As far as im concerned, you're lesser than me.

It's still pretty good for boss damage if you have Geomag's on, it's terrible without that specific exotic though. I forget what all they changed with the beams impact area but damn did it kill is PVE use. A massive beam of arc death is only "OK" at clearing adds.

4 通の返信Pvp killed it, as well as geomags. Hopefully we get improvement with the arc subclass rework.
