The problem with shotguns and fusion rifles is that they put out too much damage at long ranges.
All primaries take too long to kill someone that's rushing you and going in & out of cover.
Primaries need a buff or shotguns & fusions need a nerf.
Ammo reduction will not fix the problem of people crutching shotguns & fusions.

Changing special I foresee these possible outcomes. 1: even more SMG and Sidearms 2: even more team shooting/Laning with snipers & pulse rifles 3: Bow Swap Handcannon, usually with Le Monarque and/or Wishender. 4: More Last Word than you know what to do with 5: Revoker may come back into play Basically everything with a ridiculously fast TTK that for some reason people just decided not to use until just now because I guess YouTubers will start talking about it.

2 通の返信Some primaries have a 0.8 second ttk is that not fast enough? Add in a damage perk now you are talking close to 0.5 seconds. We are talking fast. Talking fast like the micromachine advertisement guy! Look them up. Singing MJ’s bad in seconds flat.

Hey i know where this guy is, i know how close he is. Lets pop an invisibility and rush that guy. Bungie just tuning the weapon and ammo is not enough.

1 返信They're nerfing special weapons directly as well did you read only part of the twab and skip over everything else?

Bungie needs to revert all changes to special weapons but remove flinch and targeting mods from special weapons while increasing the ability to negate what makes special weapons strong. Here are some examples: Shotguns: Increase pellet spread Fusions: Reduce charge rate Snipers/ Linear Fusion: Kick out of reticle Grenade Launchers: Reduce accuracy.

2 通の返信Fusions range and accuracy is a problem. Shotguns are easy to to outplay with a primary (except on some maps)

8 通の返信The problem is too many people rely on them for easy ohks and most maps cater to shotguns and fusions, since most maps are small to mid size and have lots of cover. I wouldn't be surprised if trace rifles become meta next season after these nerfs and ammo changes go live. As is they have just a slightly faster ttk and it's possible that 20% buff may include guardians since the buff if for anything that's not a red bar.

Disagree, this is what yall wanted so now you're reaching even more. Just say you don't want special weapons at all so it can be an easy downvote and put it at the bottom where it belongs. Scavs going away only inflamed the already blatant difference in skill issue. Only the top players willl have it and even then its just better to starve the enemy of special and use broken primaries. We are back at Y1 and it will only get worse.

I can promise you if you're any decent at PvP you will still almost constantly have 2 or more shots of special

2 通の返信Usually I'd agreed but Bungie has nerfed Shotguns more tines than I can count throughout D2s lifetime and imo they're fine in terms of damage and Fusion rifle and getting nerfed at the start of season 17 so only time will tell if another will be needed or not, the amount of special ammo that drops is literally the main issue as to why someone can run around with it for entire matches mic that with the small maps sizes and it creates a festering cess pool that never gets better just worse. Taking away the scav mods from pvp should have happened ages ago and nerfs may have been avoided but instead of tackling the issue using the most logical method bungie went for the super easy lazy one that just resulted in constant nerfs to weapons I can see the targeting mods being the next thing to get reduced to 1 type only equipped or removed entirely too
