Rift-the ULTIMATE spawn killing game mode
For those not familiar with Rift from D1.
Buckle up for some spawn trapping and spawn killing unless a major revamp has transpired.
Rift was actually the feature game mode for IB once in D1 and the forum burned with player complaints.
The way the game mode plays is that when you die you respawn at your rift.
Your opponents simply camp your Rift and obliterate immediately after you spawn in.
A well coordinated team have a couple players that grab the spark while the rest spawn trap the enemy team.
Dunk the spark and few times and it’s game over.
We shall see if changes were made from the D1 version.

What a disaster. Bungie always has to Bungie implementations and ruin it. Rift should be a side mode not forced into IB.

Hey guys calm down it's not like bungie would ever bring back anything from D1 into D2 and it only be "half-baked." We shouldn't be so quick to judge their history with this type of thing is totally [i]flawless[/i]...

4 通の返信D2 PvP community complaining that you might be able to spawn camp in rift as if you can't do that in every single game mode if you understand how the spawns work.

1 返信What was that game mode in year 1 where you had to defend and detonate bombs? That was way more fun. Would be cool if they brought that back instead

What do you think is happening now? Most games arent even going to score nor time and half the time players are laning or holding hands for gunfights. Even if Rift is terrible out the gate, it would still be a welcome change considering the state PVP is in.

20 通の返信they stated you will be able to rez, helps with the spawn issue. no score for kills, rushing the enemy spawn will end up causing you to lose to undefended dunks. a new map designed for rift. did you even read it or just heard rift was back and rushed to be negative?

1 返信Can't wait for Dead Cliff spawn trapping with stasis turrets and witherhoard. Why can't we have clash back or just give us a choice between clash and rift or control and rift? Well either way I suck so it's going to be awesome.

3 通の返信Team revives are enabled now. I'm interested to see how that affects gameplay here. I've always enjoyed rift so I'm pretty excited. What I'd like to see next in Destiny is some locked loadout modes. All Last Words or something stupid like that.

2 通の返信I only vaguely remember it from D1. If the spawns were that much of a problem then there's a good chance they won't work like they did back then.
