And please tell us how was the mode meant to be played? Because to me it seems like the point is to get the highest score and that’s what people are doing. Then people like you are getting mad because they’re too unwilling to also do it. If you want top 10% play it the way to get the best score instead of crying on the forums for them to cater to the way you want it to be.

ACROCANTHUSにより編集済み: 5/8/2022 5:40:28 AMIt wasn't intended to be played by sitting in a corner with a ricochet round smg or jumping off a cliff for 15 minutes that's for sure. Just because there's no specific rule against something doesn't mean it isn't cheap and doesn't decimate the spirit of competition. Tell me, do you find 15 minutes of suicide fun? Do you think bungie really meant for the activity to be played this way, because I'm certain they didn't. I'm not mad because I'm unwilling to do it, I'm mad because something that could have actually been a fun competition was turned into a "jump off the cliff for 15 minutes" party and that's just not fun or compelling gameplay.

One more question just have to know. Do you also consider using shuro chi to level up crafted guns a cheese. Because they definitely did not intend for that to be the case, and I disagree with you. How Is finding the most efficient way to stack the highest valued medals throughout a strike in anyway not the intended way to gain the highest score?Just because it’s done by downing yourself and getting revive medals who cares. That’s literally the most efficient strategy to gain score the fastest. People like you just think of it as a regular nightfall, it’s not. The intended way to play is to literally get medals. If you don’t want to down yourself get the other good medals. I.e. emote then finish a yellow bar.

Farming shuro chi for weapon exp is a cheese, its just not tied to something Bungie themselves have labelled as "competitive". I guess Bungie should just stop patching cheese strats in the rest of the game, right? Cheeses for GM's, regular PvE content and PvP are all fair game now, yeah?

This is an awful comparison. There is no competition tied to farming shuro chi. You are not competing against anyone when you farm ads there. While it is a cheese, it does not give you an unfair edge in a community competition. You cannot seriously think that it is fun or compelling to jump off a cliff for 15 minutes.
If you don’t want to down yourself get the other good medals. I.e. emote then finish a yellow bar.
The thing with that is, the discrepancy between the revive medal and the "other good medals" is still incredibly massive. Like, 1-200k difference. It's just not competitive and not fun when the most viable strategy by an extremely significant amount is literally to jump off a cliff.

Kyleにより編集済み: 5/8/2022 6:21:47 AMI think it’s a good comparison both ways to drastically improve what you’re going for, that are not the “intended ways” to go about them. If revives give the best rewards do those and stop complaining. If you’re complaining about it but choosing not to go about it the most efficient way at the time, you’re the one at fault. Like I said in a previous post GG has never been competitive, it’s usually rigged against or towards a class. Which the classes are the whole point. This year they added this competitive strike list because people already don’t like GG and it flopped even harder. It’s a crappy rushed mode where you play old strikes for medals that they probably thought up in a day. If you truly want a competitive experience gambit will probably give you a better one lol. If you want to have fun then I recommend a different game.

It's just not a good comparison. In shuro chi, the cheese helps you level up a weapon faster. In the strike Playlist, it let's you score significantly higher in a competition than you should be able to. Shuto chi is a victimless cheese. The strike Playlist turns a competition about who can run the strike most efficiently into a competition about who can die and hold square the most times in 15 minutes. The strike competition has nothing to do with the class competition. The class competition being rigged has no bearing on who wins the strike competition.
If you want to have fun then I recommend a different game
Do you not realize just how ridiculous that sounds? The point of the strike Playlist was to have a fun competition. The cheese takes all the fun and competition out of it. The cheese needs to be disabled, and the scores this week need to be thrown out to preserve the competitive spirit of the strike competition. It's as simple as that. This conversation is over. I'm clearly not going to convince you of anything and I'm done wasting my time here.

The point of running any competitive content though is never to die over and over, so the existence of it is a problem that yes, is on Bungie. That being said, people deciding to abuse it and show everyone that they can abuse it too doesn't absolve them, it makes them part of the problem.
