  • The identity is the class itself not the class ability. Never has been. Stop making up stuff to fit your nonsense and philosophies.

  • We already have similar abilities but they do not dictate the identity for the class. Have you not seen grenades on Void 3.0 or Stasis??? The identity is the class or character itself not the ability granted or given.

Class abilities are distinctly part of each classes identity. The name class ability kinda gives that away…

    It says class ability. It doesn’t say class identity. There is a difference. Class ability can be subject to change. Hence, grenades being used by all classes when it was assigned to specific ones as a “Grenade Ability”. Class identity cannot be changed. You cannot call a Hunter a Titan no matter how much you change them.

They are literally abilities tied to a specific class. They are part of the classes identity. When you see a guardian popping a barricade, you know that they are a Titan. When you see a guardian put down a rift, you know they are a warlock. The biggest differences between the base classes currently is the jump and the class ability. Removing part of a classes identity is a horrible and poorly thought out idea. Thankfully it is one that will never happen.
