And if The Witness couldn't even get Rhulk out of the throne world, I doubt it would have been able to touch the Traveler, that's why I believed Savathun when she said she is serving the true will of the Traveler And to use a Star Wars comparison, Savathun switching to the Light should have been has big has Darth Vader switching to the Rebels , and also the Revelation that The Hive were tricked into serving the deep and not there natural direction would have been of great interest to Oryx, and will come to play when we face Xivu, can you imagine the Hive Monarchy swearing vengeance against the Witness , but I am starting to feel all these amazing and earth shattering story directions are being dismissed and ignored so Bungie can get there bad guy wins ending

The enemy of your enemy is not necessarily your friend. And if you act like they are, you will go stumbling blindly into betrayal. Savathun is not humanity’s friend. She is NO ONE’s friend at this point. She only serves herself, and will do anything to anyone that advances her agenda. Letting her imprison the Traveler in her throne world would have been an act of insanity on our part. Odds are we would have been left helpless as she secured HER OWN survival.

Then why do we accept the Cabal and Eliksni , even after all they have done to us , has our friend but sternly reject the Hive ?, We know if we lost the Light Caital would enslave Humanity, Claim earth has the New Cabal Homeworld and make Zevala her personal pet And we are desperate, a vastly more powerful enemy has a knife to our throats , we are not in a position to pick and choose friends , nobody liked the Soviets in WW2 either(has evidence from a half a century cold war, and current events), but we would have lost without them

They are those of the honorable warrior, but they are consistent. That is why she stayed her hand when Saladin offered to accept death for Crows crime (I am responsible for those I lead). He showed honor and respect for her by making the offer. She returned that respect by accepting his life in service rather than bloodshed. We have a similar bond in principle with Mithraaks and House of Light. Communal service to the Light and reverence for The Traveler. (Life) Savathun has a live of Life, but it has be twisted in a selfish, greedy love of it. Which is why imo the Traveler gave her a second chance. She may eventually be redeemed and become an ally. Her effort to kidnap the Traveler and “safeguard” Her may have been a twisted first attempt to do good, but it was off the mark…considerably. But the fact that her ghost lives on mean that she will likely get other chances to redeem herself. But, right now, only a fool would trust her farther than he could kick her.

So we are being careful with Savathun, but doing everything the Witness says without question , I forgot, isn't the darkness/witness the one that's going to cause the collapse we claim to be fighting against, I'm confused. After we kill Savathun ,Ghost asks us what do we do next, and we say stop the next collapse , even though The very being that could have single handedly stopped the collapse, is laying feet away from you dead, abandoned by her ghost I think alot if this is just bad writing, and Bungie trying to protect there dark edgy ending they have foretold us about(though if the Traveler dies, I am never giving Bungie another cent) Yes, comparing Savathun, to the plights of the Cabal and Eliksni may have been short sighted, but she is a necessary evil at this point

Uh. No. There are two conflicts going on. Lord Saladin hinted at his understanding of it when Crow was complaining about why The Traveler resurrected bad people (The Warlords) during the Dark Ages, and then gave the Ligyt to The Hive. While “leaving good people to rot”. Crow asked Saladin how he dealt with this. Saladin answered: [i]I realized it was the wrong question. Matters of Good and Evil are rooted in causality (Cause and Effect).[/i] While we know that the Light and the Dark are [i]paracausal[/i] embodiments of Universal forces. So the Light vs Dark is more of a struggle between Order vs Chaos…Creation vs Destruction. Forces that are not moral. Order can be civilizing force…or a terrorizing one (tyranny). Chaos can also be a balancing force…or a terrorizing one. But there is another Conflict that is setting up to be one of Good vs Evil. The Witness is the embodiment of that Evil. The wish to use the Darkness to destroy all things. It’s not clear if the Traveler or Guardians will be the Avatars of Good. But the Teaveler resurrected Savathun not because she was good, but because of her willingness to side with Order and Life… turn her back on Darkness and betray The Witness. However like The Warlords before, Savathun is not a force for Good, and the Lucent Hive are being pruned. While I believe that she will eventually become an ally, she is not ready and is not trustworthy. Though the revelation that she was the mark in one of the most tragic con jobs in the Universe may bring her around and tame her arrogance.
