The exotic is designed to put you higher in the air for longer than usual and your nerf makes players less effective in the air. It would make the exotic an overall detriment if it wasn't for ceiling bonking being the only way we can get to a lane in time to challenge the other classes. Meanwhile, your own graph confirms Ophidians are just as imbalanced and you give that an exotic a passive benefit of +10 effectiveness??

I mean, yea, the nerf was too harsh and probably unnecessary, but unless you are on warlock with heat rises, you ain't getting above 50 AE on MOST weapons. Most jump shots won't land, stompees or not. Just be glad they didn't nerf the main part of it.

They are a [b][u]Movement[/u][/b] exotic, meant to boost your [b][u]Movement[/u][/b]. They dont just boost your jump, they boost your sprinting, sliding, and even your strafing/walking. Another example being Transversive Steps, Dunemarchers, and Lion Rampant Bungie seems to be making a clear definition between a Movement exotic and a Handling(?) Exotic. Yes, Lion Rampant has airborne accuracy tied to it, but only to the hip-fire, which is a natural part of the exotic. Honestly, so few weapons are good for hip-fire in the first place, so it's not like it matters much. But, all is not lost for Hunters. You see, Hunters have a good array of Handling Exotics. Unlike Warlocks and Titans, most Hunter Handling Exotics are tied to 1 specific weapon type, but because of that they give a much greater boost. Tricksleeves basically max out any sidearm, Oathkeeper maxes out most bows (an airborne archer would be unexpected) lucky pants give a moderate hand cannon boost, and even Foetracer gives a decent all boost. Don't despair, this just means you have more variety to try out!

3 通の返信This is what Bungie does. They look at usage numbers, stuff that's used a lot gets nerfed. Doesn't matter if it's op or if it just gets a lot of usage because people enjoy using it. High usage = nerf. Also doesn't help that the literal only audience Bungie listens to, streamers, were on a witch hunt for stomp ees recently for whatever reason. Most likely because most of them main warlock and they are elitists. Complaining about stuff they don't play is usually working for them. Cammy for example cried about this movement exotic that only makes you jump higher and run a bit faster, which btw every single class has available, while he himself uses the cheesiest, least skill requiring bs in the game like invis spam with gemini jesters and le monarque in stag rifts. And his viewers actually share that opinion. So yea, thanks again to streamers and Bungie listening to streamers and usage graphs. Nice attitude of balancing. Now where's the ophidian aspect nerf? Or dunemarchers and lion rampants?

It's probably too much of me to expect Hunter players to think critically instead of just looking up whatever the most used fail of the month loadout is, but let's attempt this together. Ophideans are the most used warlock exotic for one reason, and one reason only. What else are you going to use if not Ophideans? Stag? Warlock rift is the worst class ability in pvp by far, and the Stag nerf alongside Void Titan being ten times as oppressive on capture the point maps makes that exotic dead in the water. Getaway Artist? The entire sandbox is one shots right now. Snipes, shotguns, Lord of Wolves, fusions. 30 damage arc buddy doesn't shift the time to kill when the time to kill is 0.0 seconds. So Warlock has to settle for a single exotic that gives you 30 handling and a slight reload speed boost. And Hunters find some way to cry about it because the exotic that makes them immune to damage by placing them in orbit may be slightly less effective with legendary weapons. Nothing changes if you're using an exotic gun from what I can tell.

A good player will still own with them. A lot will switch to Gemini Jesters - stay tuned for posts wanting them nerfed next. FR0ST33'S are great. Bombardiers are overlooked. People will always find something to complain about... especially when they discover they aren't as good as they think they are. Stop complaining about what you can't control and get better about what you can.

I can see the reasoning behind this. The exotic puts you in air more so why with in air builds coming, would an in air exotic ruin your in air accuracy. I never really cared about them and had no real issue (I basically never touched them) but this does kinda demote them to only using when you have to jump somewhere in pve and that’s about it.

4 通の返信What I actually find funny is people only ever complained about them since last year when they nerfed the crap out of stasis... Where were the complaints before then? Stompees have been same since day 1 and it took the community till after stasis nerf to complain they needed a nerf 👀. This is the same with chappy, when shotguns got nerfed they started to cry nerf to chappy. Although I never use chappy so I don't personally care. And yet again with Lord of wolves which got a nerf way back when which was deserved. But as soon as this season started and people used Lord of wolves to counter stasis hunters and titan overshields, people started complaining for more nerfs to lord of wolves. I can already foresee the next cries of nerf to stuff that have more or less been in game since day 1. Ophidians (of course they are getting a buff) transversive steps, lion ramparts, already nerfed one eyes mask, dragon shadow, wormhusk, geminis. People are gonna end up crying nerf to them when they've either never been touched or haven't been touched in years. Wait for the duality and huckleberry nerfs next season too 👀

They stated several times that even at airborne accuracy =0, your airborne accuracy penalty will be better then it is right now today. If you build into airborne stats at all, you will be better off then you are right now. They will still work just fine if you actually hit your shots (aim assist will be reduced but accuracy is improving) “With little to no investment (0-30 airborne stat), a character will have a smaller accuracy penalty than retail but will have significantly lower aim assist.”

2 通の返信People are probably confused. Its an in air nerf only. You can still run around...just dont expect jump shots to land. It doesnt affect shots taken on the ground or while sliding.

Well, when their usage doubles any other exotic’s usage in Trials then you gotta know a nerf is coming. And they nerfed them enough to get them out of the 25+% range and down into the 10-15% range. Which is line with every other exotic that’s heavily used (ophidian aspect and transversive steps). It’s good to step out of your comfort zone. Hopping around like a flea isn’t the only way to be competitive.

2 通の返信Like I said in another post it was over nerfed I would understand -25 to -35 but -50 kinda over doing it you shouldn't kill a exotic just because it's too popular and you want them to use something else it would have been best to slightly Nerf them and then created a better version bring old exotic armors up to date because now that too outdated and need major buffs then you will see players go to other exotic giving us exotics like Blight Ranger is not going urge that
