SYNTHOCEPS have better range. As they should. Nevertheless, glaives are a melee weapon as well as swords. They should benefit from the buff the exotic is supposed to provide. Hunters have an exotic that extends the time a bow can drawn ( indefinitely)!!! I happen to think bows have a long enough draw time as it is. That belief is as silly as yours

That belief is as silly as yours[/quote] Pretty sure it isn’t. Synthocepts have 7 meters. What’s the glaive range? Synthocepts already have an exotic perk. That’s a terrible comparison.

Answer me this . How many destiny 2 weapons do you have that are bladed or edged , that you have or can actually use in a skirmish or fight and attack a combatant with it by striking them without the weapon expelling a projectile ? Bladed and edged weapons are melee weapons. Knives, daggers, swords and yes glaives. If for some wonderful reason that destiny 2 and it’s talented developers decide to implement a pistol whipping kill , that would be considered a melee move also.

It isn’t going to get changed.

Unfortunately that is not up to you or me to decide. Nevertheless, unless they change the description of the of the exotic buff. Until Websters dictionary decides to change the century long definition of what melee is or means to what BORE has decided what melee is and means, I’m gonna go with Websters

It isn’t in the description. They will not be changing the exotic and it would be stupid if they did.

I agree. Melee is melee. When you press the RB button on a every glaive what happens ? Now if you concentrate and look very carefully at the wording it tells you that it is a kinetic (melee). At least that’s what it says on my glaive. Perhaps yours does say that if you press RB it doesn’t activate a kinetic melee. Perhaps you can’t stab or strike combatants with your glaive. I honestly don’t know.

In destiny 2 the Melee action is assigned to the RB button. For everything. Melee is melee . Regardless, whatever weapon you have equipped if you press the RB button your melee will activate either powered or regular . Melee is melee. The edged or blade weapons are the only weapons that override your powered melee and your unpowered melee as long as you have it at the ready. Why is that ? Let’s say it at the same time boys and girls! Melee is melee! Sythocepts buff melee range.

What does that destiny 2 description after you press the Y button describes for you what that action is called ? Melee is melee my friend. Can you throw a dagger with your glaive equipped ? Can you perform a nova warp with your glaive unsheathed ? No . Why ? Your glaive melee overrides your powered or regular melee. I’m not familiar with all the exotics of each class. Nevertheless, the glaive doesn’t work with any powered melee action. So melee exotics tied to powered melee aren’t capable of working with a glaive. So I would (assume) that it is not capable of performing any powered melee action that is tied to an exotic piece of armor. Therefore, synthoceps are are not and do not fall into the same category as powered melee exotics that activate a separate specific or powered melee . They simply buff melee range. So then with being said, since you don’t throw the glaive it should work with the glaive melee.

Obviously they don’t. That’s why I posted this topic that you have spent your valuable time responding to. If they worked with glaives I never would have posted this. Synthoceps are an exotic. They do not activate a powered melee. They simply extend the reach of your melee. They should work with glaives. I have posted it, discussed it, and explained why. I obviously cannot understand it for you.
