Dear Bungie, can you tell me why so many people are getting restricted to play pvp for «poor» connection when our connection is good. I dont understand that you have a report system in a peer to peer connection system and banning people for 2weeks/2months. I have now two accounts, one account i can play crazy amount of pvp, but the account i got a 2months ban on ive played 4weeks and got banned 2months again. Since the start of beyond light it has been more laggy in pvp, and since the crossplay startet, its crazy amount of people teleporting and having bad connection. Its something wrong here, and you guys have to check it. When 50% of my friendlist who plays alot of pvp are getting restricted there is a issue with your system for detecting lagg. My twitter is getting spammed by people getting restricted and is all on ps5. To give you an example, alot of my friends switched to pc after theyr bans, and they have played 100-200flawless without a warning, but if i play 40flawless im banned 2months again.
edit:
*I removed the names on the people who got banned because someone said that i can get banned for posting my friends name on this post*
So when im wrote to you guys on the ban appeal forum you said that my ban was correct and that i had poor connection. This dosnt make sense at all, the list over is names who got banned and 95% is on my friendslist and all on ps5.
The image i uploaded is from my wired connection (550/50mbits 1,1jitter, constant 0package loss. And that is when the line is connected to a pc, ps5 and a tv on daytime when its busy. At nightime i have even better speed and jitter.

I doubt enough people to warrant a ban randomly chose your friends to report for no reason. They clearly have been lagging around ruining the experience for others and it wasn't a one time thing. So good for them glad I won't be queing into them ruining the game for me.

SolarCerberuSにより編集済み: 4/7/2022 5:37:48 AMA mere static shot of connection speed and stability doesnt tell anyone much. Many things can effect stability esp over p2p connection. Bad or loose cables, old modem/router. Maintenance work by your ISP are a few examples of what can disrupt connection. Being wired is a good start (no one should ever EVER pvp over WiFi) but isnt the be all end all. With PC background programs and/or downloads, others streaming on your connection, antivirus software. Consoles are easier to problem shoot again background downloads, setting up ports (port forwarding), check NAT type and ensure it is OPEN. This site itself has info around helping you maximise and troubleshoot your connection stability, same if you have a decent ISP they should be able to help you problem shoot. Outside of that turn crossplay off its a known sh*tshow

You can still have a bad connection to the game if you have a long ping time due to playing at off hours, or you get screwed by your internet service provider by bad routing. Bottomline is that Bungie is VERY conservative about handing out these kinds of restrictions, so if they've dinged you there IS something wrong on your end...and its worth working with your ISP to try to find out what the problem is.

2 通の返信This list could probably be extended with another 50 PS5 PvPers who got restricted recently. There is something going wrong and Bungie needs to look into this.

1 返信Look bud, I see someone teleporting around in crucible, especially if it happens in multiple games? I’m reporting them. Their supposedly good internet speed doesn’t matter to me, because obviously something on their end isn’t working right, and it makes crucible more annoying than it already is.

10 通の返信
The image i uploaded is from my wireless connection (550/50mbits 1,1jitter, constant 0package lo
Wireless is probably your issue. It's not suggested to go wireless. Go hard wired full time? That could fix your issue. Your friends, are they on WiFi too? You didn't mention their upload download speeds and packet loss.

3 通の返信Apparently there's a discord of people who are mass reporting people on ps5 for poor connection even though they're fine. Read about it on twitter last night

6 通の返信As of February 2022 there has been 38 million players playing destiny 2, I'm sure that number has changed over time. There are tutorials on how to fix lagging on PS5. Have you tried that.

4 通の返信I had to update my connection cause I was lagging - Didn't get banned but got a warning. I now have 70mps and wired straight into the router. Unfortunately, your connection to bungies server type things can be pretty rough so people end up laggy at bungies expense/fault. It is what it is. They can bloody afford proper servers!

4 通の返信THE SARGE 01により編集済み: 4/6/2022 4:03:37 PMThat’s your problem right there. You are on a wireless connection. When you test your connection you get good results, but wireless tends to suffer from a lot of interference which makes the connection unstable. Recommend you only play while hardwired.

1 返信Same problem for me and my mates, i was playing on PC for a 2 years without a single issue. With a next gen version of D2 we switched to a PS5 and after few months bungie started to banning us for “poor connection”. Our connection is fine btw. We tried to send a tickets to support but they didnt answer. I think this happening for a lot of reports from people you farming in trials/comp/qp and they just reports us for everything just because they lost a game or you were toxic and tbagged them. You have to switch to a PC if you are better than average player. Its sad coz i dont want to play on PC
