The champion system is annoying.
Why can’t they be like the hive light bearers from the legendary campaign? They were challenging, but we could defeat them with several different strategies/ weapons… And no, this is not a skill issue. I was able to solo (flawless) the master lost sector in five minutes.

2 通の返信As returning users, champions and lost sectors are making slowly regret returning. If only there was in game explanations of mods and weapons ( and their characteristics ) as extensive as the lore it would be helpful in order to know what are the best load outs to actually clear them. With the crafting system requiring us to level up weapons before they can get close to being useful, champions add a barrier that requires us to leave behind setups we’ve grown attached to. Instead requiring that spend time finding load out that satisfy the constraints set by the champions. From my research it seems veterans of the game bypass this issue by getting specific exotics like arbalest and or specific mods and cruise through champions. This makes the experience for newcomers or returning players an exercise in frustration. Compare this to the content in the witch queen where the lightbearers were faster, more powerful but did not feel invincible, they were hard, required thought but it felt like we had choice in how we could tackle the missions. ( scout riffles are a total disappointment ) So what this means is that we are aligning our builds and load outs with what “the internet” says is best not with what we feel we want to try. NB: Also why do we need to solo a lost sector to get exotics in a multiplayer game?!?

I don't mind the unstoppable and Barrier champs but there is a special place in hell just for overloads. I would happily trade them for the hive guys they still make you play carefully but don't lock you to certain weapons like champions do.

1 返信Champions are fine it’s the way Bungie limit what weapons we can use to stun them each season that sucks.

The system itself is fine. The problem is that Bungie uses it as a way to control people's loadouts and put a damage cap on the player in difficult content. So people are getting frustrated with the lack of freedom to play with the gear they enjoy playing with...and its (in my own case) causing me to play the game LESS. Not more. Because I get tired of being forced to use the same loadouts every day for up to three months at a time.
