Im a side arm user and shotguns are in a good place except chaperone. I still think it's broken. Main ingredient style fusions are broken in my opinion. To much range where it kills all primary gun fights. And players will always pre charge so longer charge time doesn't really effect anything imo. I don't even have to check to tell you the most used weapon this week is going to be the main ingredient in trials without a doubt.
With invis, overshields and fast movements getting into range further than a main ingredient is incredibly hard.
I can counter shot gunners with sidearms, fusions however they kill me outside of weapon archetype zone.(what that means is shotguns, fusions, sidearms are all supposed to compete with one another within a certain range. But one exceeds that range limit.) Imo fusions should not exceed chaperone range.
And i can say for a certain fact that the real competitive part of destiny will be shifting to a fusion meta.
